TAMPA BAY, FLORIDA: Tom Brady, who announced his retirement on Wednesday morning, February 1, has already signed a 10-year deal of $375 million with FOX Sports. However, the internet wonders whether the NFL player will fit the role of a 'game analyst' as he is set to kick off his broadcast career.

Ending his 23-year NFL career, the 45-year-old player previously reversed his retirement decision and for the 2022 season, he then continued playing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2022 season. In May 2022, Lachlan Murdoch, son of media mogul Rupert Murdoch revealed that in the future, the seven-time Super Bowl champion will be the top NFL analyst of FOX Sports.

Tom Brady's broadcast contract

Announcing Brady's deal with the broadcaster with a record-breaking payment of $375 million for a decade, Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch, 50, said, "We are delighted that Tom has committed to joining the Fox team and wish him all the best during this upcoming season." According to the New York Post, the contract Brady has inked is the largest deal in the history of sports broadcasting. The news outlet reported that Brady is 'really looking forward' to taking up his new role this week.

In his weekly podcast 'Let's Go,' the former quarterback said, "I'm really looking to learn from all the people that I get to talk to. I get an opportunity to be in a job in the future where I get to travel around and learn from all the other people that I've looked up to and admired and different organizations and different people."

"So it's exciting for me too. I feel like the opportunity to do that is something that I'm really looking forward to whenever that time comes," he added.

'Not sure he's broadcaster material'

Internet wonders if retired NFL player Brady will be good with his job as a game analyst and also worries if he will replace sportscaster Greg Olsen, the former tight end, making a change for the Fox booth. One social media user wrote, "I feel like he’s not going to be an analyst, it’s not his style," while another wrote, "They need to keep Olsen as the lead analyst. Brady can be in the studio."

"I love Tom but I'm not sure he's broadcaster material," a user opined and someone wrote, "Sucks for Greg Olsen, who has been fantastic in that spot."

"No. FOX needs to get off their knees because they’re blowing it," a user remarked and another wrote, "He didn't earn the spot, he needs more money? I don't want to hear him calling any games, I'll mute and listen via the radio."

"Tom Brady will not make the ten years maybe three years he will not be very good at that job time will tell," a user tweeted while someone wrote, "Wow. Does he make that much from the actual sport? All he got to do is watch matches and give opinions. Kind of like what 100 million American men do on their sofas."
