MOSCOW, IDAHO: Records of evidence recovered from Idaho murder suspect Bryan Kohberger's house were unsealed on Wednesday, January 18. Cops searched his Washington apartment after his arrest in Pennsylvania and found possible animal hair strands, disposable gloves, and items with red and brown stains. They have also recovered receipts, mattress covers, and the dust container of a vacuum cleaner. Among other things, they also collected a Fire TV stick during their search. All of these recovered items are now being stored at the Washington State University Police department.
Social media users are now discussing how the Fire TV stick retrieved from Kohberger's house could aid investigators. Fire TV stick is a "media streaming device which lets you stream video, install apps, play music etc on your tv. It's built on the Android platform and it converts your normal tv to a smart tv," as per Amazon.

"I thought a fire stick was like Roku, that it allows you to stream Netflix's and Hulu etc. Does it do more than that?" a user asked on Reddit. "Idk I saw on a video on YouTube that with a jail broken fire stick you can access certain parts of shows or Internet Not sure tbh not tech smart. Hopefully maybe someone can tell us if this is accurate or not?" one user answered, to which another replied, "Jail broken is basically so you can put apps on it that’s not approved and available by Amazon. People usually do it to get free TV and Movies. I’m guessing they took it to see if he had photos/videos stored on it."
"I believe there is a memory component that can save other things. Might be a good hiding place for secrets for someone relatively tech savvy," one user wrote, while another said, "Jailbroken ones can download snuff content I think if you’re not afraid of viruses and know what you’re doing. I had one and my hacker friend pulled up all kinds of stuff."
