'She was frozen': Internet decodes why Dylan Mortensen didn't hear screams but heard Bryan Kohberger speak

MOSCOW, IDAHO: Bethany Funke and Dylan Mortensen were the two survivors of the Idaho murders case.The two roommates who were on the first floor of the off-campus Idaho residence, where four University of Idaho students were killed on November 13, have revealed shocking details of the night the killer went on a stabbing spree.
Mortensen, who is identified as DM in the affidavit filed in court, told the police she heard someone in the house but when she opened the door she saw no one. She opened the door for the second time when she heard someone crying from Xana Kernodle's room, according to what she told police. DM also revealed that she heard a male noise saying, "It's ok, I'm going to help you."
DM told authorities that soon after she had a bone chilling encounter with the killer. She said she saw the killer clad in black clothing leave the house. "D.M. described the figure as 5' 10" or taller, male, not very muscular, but athletically built with bushy eyebrows," the affidavit states.
Bryan Kohberger was charged with the murders of four University of Idaho students Ethan Chapin, 20, Xana Kernodle, 20, Madison Mogen, 21, and Kaylee Goncalves, 21.
Based on what Dylan Mortensen said, the internet gives it's assumptions and speculations on why she did not hear her roommates screaming but heard Kohberger saying, "It's ok, I'm going to help you."

It’s possible that Xana (the one I assume was awake) froze and couldn’t say anything at all." Another user said, "We don’t have any background on DM. I think about that a lot. She could have been intoxicated, she could’ve been awake for 2 days and her body passed out. We don’t know what was going on with her before this all happened. I think that could explain a lot."
