A Reddit user posted a couple of screenshots from an an ASKfm account that is believed to be Kohberger's. The user wrote, "I looked up BK on ASKfm (a website where you can ask people questions anonymously) and sure enough I found his profile. I'm not sure when his account was created as there is no mention of the date but he does look younger in his profile picture. It does not show any activity either. ASKfm was popular among high schoolers in my country around 2012/2013."
Upon seeing Kohberger's old picture, netizens were quick to react as one wrote, "Jumpscare (that photo sheesh)". While another said, "That's some bushy eyebrows there!" Another user wrote, "He probably killed drug dealers."
Another chimed in, "He looks pretty normal there. Crazy that he would become a murderer," while yet another said, "His eyes don't look quite so dead here. Definitely looks young but at least 17 because this is post weight loss."
Whereas, several users alleged that Kohberger had a drug problem, as one wrote, "Everything I've read about his mannerism's screams opiate addiction." The user further elaborated on this by adding, "Opiates give some of us with social anxiety a significantly stronger feeling of euphoria and confidence. My guess is he is also addicted to benzos (xanax). If I were to put myself back in my addict shoes my guess is he took a grip of bars. One quickly stops getting high from benzos and quickly just get the feeling of dimished anxiety and over confidence. The euphoria and lightness is long gone. But the subject still has a f**k ton of this drug in their system. The fact that this was likely his first time, and he didn't think to look around to see the roommate OR did see the roommate and said f**k-it because he thinks he is being rational but it's the xanax thinking, leads me to believe he was blized but not out of it at all, in fact probably more present than if he was sober."
Another user agreed and drew attention to Kohberger's pupils by stating, "Damn those pupils are nonexistent, I would put money down that this is around the time he was doing heroin at the beginning of high school."
