PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: The headline of a recent Vanity Fair article titled ‘Melania Trump Apparently RSVP’d “F**k Off” to Her Husband’s Post-Arraignment Speech’ recently went viral online only to present a separate narrative in the actual article. The story, written by politics correspondent Bess Levin, was published on Wednesday, April 5, following the former first lady’s absence from the gathering of Donald Trump’s family and supporters at Mar-a-Lago during his post-arraignment speech.

Social media users likely assumed that the headline was written in the literal sense and Melania Trump actually RSVP’d “F**k Off” while responding to the invitation to attend her husband’s post-arraignment speech. However, the content mentioned in the article showed that the correspondent wrote the headline in an allegorical sense to represent the rumors of alleged troubles between Melania and Donald Trump’s marriage amid the latter’s indictment over the alleged hush money payment scandal involving Stormy Daniels.

Vanity Fair article claims Melania Trump ‘might not be too broken’ about Donald Trump’s indictment

The Vanity Fair article, which came with a viral headline that read ‘Melania Trump Apparently RSVP’d “F**k Off” to Her Husband’s Post-Arraignment Speech,’ speculated about the rumors of alleged trouble between the couple amid the former US President’s indictment. The story began with the publication saying that it learned about Melania Trump’s anger about her husband’s alleged affair with Daniels amid Donald Trump’s indictment. It claimed the former first lady was not sympathizing with her husband for facing criminal charges and possible sentencing.

Donald Trump was formally charged with 34 class E felonies over three hush money payments made to adult film star Daniels, former Playboy model Karen McDougal and former Trump Tower doorman Dino Sajudin.

“After all, it’s one thing to tell your spouse they made their bed and must now lie in it when you think there’s no chance of their becoming a convicted criminal—it’s another when they’re actually forced to surrender and could spend the rest of your marriage behind bars,” wrote political correspondent Levin. The writer went on to note that while Melania Trump maintained her silence over the situation, her absence at the gathering for Donald Trump’s post-arraignment speech could be a hint that she “may not be too broken up about all this.”

The publication further reiterated that the former first lady decided to not accompany the ex-president during his court appearance on Tuesday, April 4, and also decided to remain absent from the Mar-a-Lago gathering “despite literally living on-site.” While the internet loved the headline presented in the Vanity Fair article, the story was only based on speculation about the couple and did not provide any concrete evidence to back the title.

‘Is she seeing the light?’

The internet was quick to react to the Vanity Fair headline upon the publication of the story. “Wise move. Is she seeing the light?,” tweeted on user. “Her job is done,” wrote another. “She’s done with the circus but hanging on for the $$$$. Secretly praying he goes to jail so she won’t have to deal with him,” a third user said.

One mentioned, “Good for her” while another laughed saying, “I hope this is true!!! Hahahaha!” One user said, “Even though she hasn't said a word, her INactions spoke volumes” while another asked, “Trouble in paradise???”

Donald and Melania Trump’s marriage came under scrutiny following indictment

Donald and Melania Trump’s marriage came under intense scrutiny after news of the former’s indictment over a hush money payment made during his past alleged affair with Stormy Daniels came to light. Nearly a week ago, rumors about the pair “living separate lives” made the rounds after reports of a “unique arrangement” was made by RadarOnline’s sources.

“She wants to be away from it. She wants to protect [their son] Barron. Melania is lying very low. She hasn’t been coming out for the dinners and events at Mar-a-Lago. He is acting like everything is normal, but she hasn’t been social,” another insider told Page Six while speaking about why the former first lady is not often seen with his husband. Melania Trump also remained absent during Donald Trump’s court appearance and did not appear at the Mar-a-Lago gathering following his indictment. The former president also failed to mention his wife in his post-arraignment speech despite naming other members of his family.
