'What was this exchange': Internet divided over Meghan Markle's 'rude' moment with aide outside Windsor Castle

The internet is divided over videos showing Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, conversing with an aide. The Duchess of Sussex, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and her husband, Prince Harry, were addressing mourners stationed outside Windsor Castle when the incident took place.

The Duchess may be seen whirling around rapidly and appearing to have a brief expression of irritation on her face, according to several social media users. Before ultimately grinning, nodding, and turning around to face the audience, Meghan murmured a few things to the aide while pointing in one way. While some said "she was rude to poor employees again", others defending her said, "Why is a girl bad if she sticks up for herself."

One Twitter user wrote, “What was this exchange” “Meghan Markle, being rude to poor employees again - even during this sad time 😢 When will she learn that it is unacceptable to treat the people around her like dirt? The look of contempt on her face as she dismisses the poor fellow says it all," Another added. “See how her anger flashes across her face briefly? Then she remembers and says thank you to the poor person trying to help her. Why the rush? Where’s the fire? Did she discover a camera NOT trained on her?” yet another user remarked. 

On social media, however, some users defended the Duchess. One person wrote, “Why is a girl bad if she sticks up for herself???? There are three sides to every story and everybody should worry about putting together a family in peace and stop nitpicking on everything.” “I’m no Megan fan, I’d be happy if she never came back to the UK BUT GIVE HER A BREAK she did the walkabout yesterday it must have taken some courage to do so, not knowing how people would react, but she did, supporting Harry and no one knows what was said or intended between brothers,” yet another person remarked. 

Later, an independent journalist joined in, offering to shed some insight on the topic at hand by revealing Meghan had refused to give the assistant her bouquet of flowers. the journalist R.S Locke, known as Royal Suitor on Twitter claimed that Meghan said to her aide, “I told them I’d place them over there so it’s OK. Thank you. I appreciate it though.” “Nice of Meghan to place flowers at the gate for some of the people in the crowd,” Locke added.

Meanwhile, it wasn’t the only footage to spark debate as the Sussexes and Wales spoke to the crowds after the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Social media was also divided over the video of Meghan apparently being snubbed by a mourner. One woman was seen lowering her gaze as the Duchess passed in a video that was shared on Twitter. The video ignited a heated discussion on social media, with Twitter users having differing opinions about the exchange.
