WASHINGTON, DC: In the last few days, including the days leading up to the Thanksgiving holidays, republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene had spoken about reintroducing articles of impeachment against Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas after a failed first attempt.

On November 29, Congresswoman Greene took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express that she had officially reintroduced her resolution to impeach Mayorkas, and claimed that the “American people want action.”

The congresswoman also claimed “We’ve seen the evidence of him breaking the law,” when she spoke about Mayorkas, the internet was not convinced as she faced backlash for the same.

On X, Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote, “🚨BREAKING: I just reintroduced articles of impeachment against DHS Secretary Mayorkas! While some members, like Tom McClintock, want to bloviate endlessly while imagining themselves wearing a powdered wig, the American people want action.”

"These members whine about ‘due process’ while protecting Mayorkas from facing accountability for his violation of our border security laws. Impeachment IS due process. It would put Mayorkas in front of the Senate to face trial,” added Greene.

She also wrote, “We’ve seen the evidence of him breaking the law. It’s time for the Senate to try him for it. Today, I reintroduced my articles of impeachment against Secretary Mayorkas because impeachment is EXACTLY what the founders intended for the House to do when a member of the executive branch intentionally violates the laws written by the legislative branch.”

Along with this, Greene also shared a video of herself at the Capitol, where she reintroduced the articles of impeachment against Alejandro Mayorkas.

Greene continued to face backlash on the social media platform as one user wrote, “If ignorance is bliss, you must be the happiest person on the planet,” and another wrote, “Again? No one cares what you do or say. Take your impeachments and stick em. You're just a total disgrace to America.”
