International Creator Day is a celebration of creativity and innovation that takes place on April 23 every year. Indeed, it's the perfect way to recognize the contributions of creators from various fields such as art, music, literature, film, and design. International Creator Day acknowledges the hard work, talent, and dedication of creators who bring unique ideas, stories, and creations into the world, especially the social media we are all glued to.

The creator community does so much good, in the way they inspire us, educate us, entertain us, and comfort us in times of need, and they deserve to be celebrated. On this day, we highlight 5 ways to celebrate content creators, big and small, that have made an impact on your life.

Significance of this day

The goal of International Creator Day is to inspire people to stop and think about the difference that content creators, both large and small, have made in their lives. The world can change thanks to creators. They offer comfort and a sense of community and belonging, which helps individuals get through difficult times like the COVID-19 pandemic. A user wrote, "With International Creator Day on April 23, @shopLTK celebrated #LTKCreators and their businesses with an incredible event at LTK HQ. We also had one of our biggest announcements last night -- brands have now invested $2B in creators through the LTK platform"

They bring knowledge and education about a range of topics to people who may not otherwise have access to that type of information. And they provide entertainment and a mental escape from the potential drudgery of everyday life. The creator community already makes an impact on so many lives on a daily basis that we feel like they are worth celebrating.

5 ways to celebrate this day

1. Engaging with content creators on social media is probably one of the best ways you support content creators.

2. If they have a website, go visit it! Their website is likely their home base and the hub of all of their hard work.

3. Consider buying a product directly from a content creator!

4. Give their content genuine ratings and reviews.

5. Be active in sharing accounts and content that you love! Instead of just silently consuming their content, share with your community the value it provided you.
