Fremd High School: Chicago student threatened with KNIFE by classmate for not wearing mask
In a shocking turn of events, a teenager was threatened by her classmate with a knife at Fremd High School in Chicago, Illinois, for not wearing mask despite the school district's optional mask policy. The victim, Grace, narrated the horrific incident and how the drama unfolded on the chat show 'Fox & Friends'.
Grace, who was accompanied by her mother Debora, told the co-host Brian Kilmeade, "I was sitting in my seat like normal, a student angrily said, no one, better get near me, and I look up at him confused."

The senior student continued, "And he goes, you, especially you, and he points his finger at me, and then I look around for a second… By the time I look around, he pulls a knife out and lunges it at me and I start freaking out, and I'm shaking, and I'm screaming." She revealed to the co-host that she did expect a certain type of confrontation but what she did not expect was the magnitude of the confrontation.
Grace said, "I knew there was going to be tension. It was foreshadowed. I had no clue it was going to go to this level, but definitely the whole school was aware that there was tension coming in on Monday."
On the other hand, Grace's mother Debora explained the significance of mutual respect after this incident. She said, "I hope that we can rise above this. I would love to have a message to the parents, to coach their children, to respect others, respect their choices." Debora added, "I'm expecting parents to rise above this and come together with compassion and love."
Since Monday, February 7 masks have become optional in over 140 school districts of the Chicago area. A judge from circuit court issued a temporary restraining order against Illinois Governor J B Pritzker's mask mandate inside classrooms. Judge Raylene Grischow of Sangamon County Circuit Court issued the ruling last week by which he corrected himself for overstepping his authority via the emergency order.
