'This was THAT night': Idaho survivor Dylan Mortensen's BF Quinn Kelley defends himself by providing alibi

MOSCOW, IDAHO: The investigation into the University of Idaho murders continues and the police have still not made any arrests. No suspect or murder weapon has been publicly announced yet. The two girls who survived, Bethany Funke and Dylan Mortensen, are still caught up in the heat of the incident. Now, a new video shows Mortensen's boyfriend providing an alibi for the night of the murder, November 13, on Twitter. 

Quinn Kelley took to his Twitter to share an image captioned, "This was THAT night" in which he can be seen on the night of the murder in Boise, Idaho. The time that the image was captured is 2.46 am which is around the same time when Xana Kernodle, 20, her boyfriend Ethan Chapin, 20, and friends Madison Mogen, 21, and Kaylee Goncalves, 21, were stabbed to death. When questioned about the authenticity of the Snapchat image, Quinn went on to share a video that was screen-recorded from his gallery showing videos from the same night. The video was shared by the YouTube channel Jonathan Lee Riches INVESTIGATES! which has previously made a video on Quinn Kelly and his father.

Internet sides with Dylan Mortensen's boyfriend Quinn Kelley

One user wrote, "I feel for the guy. There is no logical motive, he has never been to Moscow, didn't know the roommates, etc. And for all the people that had criticized his silence over the last month and a half, there will be just as many that criticize the alibi he has shared." Another user said, "Why would he fake the data when the police will be able to verify it anyway? Also, how is his father's behaviour anything to do with him? Finally, I grit my teeth every time I watch this guy's videos." 

One user said, "This case is getting Boston Marathon Bomber vibes with the online sleuthing getting way too illogical and stupid. How/why would this guy be involved at all? He is way way down on the list of acquaintances likely to be involved." Another user said, "Feel terrible for him. I’ve seen multiple videos filled with conspiracy b.s trying so hard to label him as a murderer. People will find everyone these kids are connected to and ruin their lives. Posts like this only trigger more misinformation about the individual."

One person wrote, "While this is obviously correct I doubt the kid has had much pr training on how to deal with crazed internet sleuths investigating quadruple homicides . First instinct was probably him attempting to dispel the nonsensical rumors." Another person said, "I grit my teeth, too, and the first time I saw him said to myself, "Who is this guy?" But his videos are short and he walks around the area. In one he walked from one house to another at night and it was a real shocker. He was also showing the huge storm drains in the area which could have been searched quickly by plumber with a snake and camera on the end. I only mentioned this topic because I've seen so many people accuse DM's boyfriend and wanted folks to hear his side."
