MOSCOW, IDAHO: According to Moscow police chief James Fry, Bryan Christopher Kohberger, the suspect in the murder of four University of Idaho students, may have "acted alone". Kohberger, a Washington University PhD student, was charged with four counts of murder and burglary for the brutal killings of Ethan Chapin, 20, Xana Kernodle, 20, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, and Madison Mogen, 21, at 1122 Kings road University of Idaho off-campus residence.

As per the FOX news interview, Fry, on being asked if there were any other suspects, said, "We truly believe we have the individual that committed these crimes." The police chief also said that they were still putting the pieces together as part of the investigation to determine the exact reason or the motive of the suspect behind these killings.

"That's why we ask people to send us tips on the individual. Send us any information, because that's all going to be a part of that picture. Still, it's going to give us even more information," the police chief said. So far by state laws, the authorities are not allowed to share or circulate case details unless the suspect is brought in person for the trial, until then the cause affidavit will remain sealed, according to Latah County Prosecutor, Bill Thompson.

More than 400 calls poured into the tip line in a few hours following the announcement of the arrest, according to Fry, who also stated that police are still searching for the murder weapon, a fixed-blade knife. He said that a white Hyundai Elantra was discovered at Kohberger's parents' house where he was detained. Albrightsville, a small town in the heart of the Poconos mountains was the location where he was being followed for four days and was apprehended by an FBI surveillance team from the Philadelphia Field Office.

The community was further shocked after it was revealed that Kohberger is a criminology student and that he studied crime and the emotions related to it. Moreover, he had returned to join the program at the university with renewed energy and a chilling change of attitude, reports mentioned, and even completed the semester after executing the gruesome murders.

With the arrest, the victim's families are finding some closure as they now have the name and the face of the suspect, and the police in a news release following the suspect's arrest said " no arrest will restore the families or bring these young students back." With the families and investigators in Idaho waiting for his extradition, in a report, the father of Kaylee Goncalves said he has found some connection with the suspect and that as soon as police gave them the name they got to work and started digging information but they will not share any details. "Now that there's a person and a name that someone can specifically look for and see if there are any connections in any way. So they're just trying to figure it out," the family's attorney, Shanon Grey, told ABC News.
