On the recent episode of 'I am Jazz', it's big news for the Jennings as the birds are all finally leaving their nest. To celebrate the same, the family takes a trip to DC for some bonding time before all the kids embark on their new lives.

The Jennings make a visit to Washington DC, and also walk into the Smithsonian Museum, where an entire corner is dedicated to Jazz! All of her artwork is put up along with her story of being a trans woman; inspiring millions. Her brother, Sanders, also decides to catch up with an old friend, Hope.

'I Am Jazz': Jazz's need for perfection leaves her feeling anxious as she prepares her valedictorian speech

The recent episode of 'I am Jazz' saw lots of big changes for the Jennings family. The oldest, Ari Shay, is off to pursue her PhD, Griffen is on his way to law school, while his twin brother, Sanders is making a career in media marketing. Last but not the least, Jazz is on her way to Harvard, after being re-accepted.

With the kids being away for a possibly long time, Jeanette and Gregory Jennings are going to have a quiet house and in their words, become "empty nesters". They also get emotional reiterating that this trip of their together will probably be the last time, in a long time, that the family is together.

Aside from marveling at Jazz's achievements at the Smithsonian, the exact opposite happens with Sanders. He thinks his family isn't supportive enough when it comes to his career but in all honesty, who wants a camera on their face 24/7 and wants their life documented? Ari thinks he needs to figure out how to separate his persona and professional life and not make it one, and Griffen agrees, saying that constantly taking pictures and videos of family results in not living in the moment or fully being present in real-time.

Jeanette and Gregory get some time to themselves and go out for a bite. This is when Gregory points out that Jeanette is, and mostly always has been hovering around Jazz, solely because she is worried and has a sense of co-dependency. In his opinion, he wants Jazz to make mistakes, pick herself up and learn from them. This is where their parenting styles differ, but we see that Jeanette is trying to get onboard with Gregory on this.
