Hunter Biden ghosted pregnant Lunden Roberts after listening to daughter's fetal heartbeat
INDEPENDENCE COUNTY, ARKANSAS: Hunter Biden promised to support former stripper and mother of his four-year-old daughter, Navy Joan Roberts, "emotionally, physically and financially" after she found out that she was pregnant in January 2018. However, the 53-year-old distanced himself completely from Lunden Roberts after he heard their unborn daughter's heartbeat for the first time. Many weeks later, the pair met at Hunter's Maryland residence when delighted Lunden played him an audio clip from her 12-week ultrasound scan.
Hunter reportedly became teary-eyed after listening to Navy's fetal heart beating for the first time. Things started to take a dramatic turn when Lunden returned to her native Arkansas and Hunter started to ignore her calls and texts. According to a close friend of the single mom, Hunter has never seen, nor spoken, to her ever since. The duo came face to face on Monday, May 1, in an Arkansas courtroom to a heated argument over the amount Hunter should pay for his adorable daughter he has never met.

Hunter contributed $750,000 toward the child's upbringing
Hunter's lawyers rejected the notion and claimed he has contributed $750,000 towards the child's upbringing. Hunter's DC lawyer, Abbe Lowell, said it was the right time that the world should be aware of how much money he has spent for Navy. "Mr. Biden is paying the plaintiff $20,000 a month," Lowell told the two-hour hearing in Independence County, Arkansas.
The judge presiding over the trial lashed out at Hunter for "sealing and redacting" his financial information. "The ability to redact is somewhat being abused," Judge Holly Meyer fumed according to Daily Mail. "I’m seeing a lot of things filed, especially by Mr. Biden’s counsel, sealing things, redacting things, that are not confidential." She suggested that lawyers for Lunden should submit documents from a downtown Manhattan art gallery to find out exactly how much he has earned from selling his art.
Hunter was ordered by the judge to produce more financial documents to support his claim that he should be allowed to reduce the amount he pays Lunden every month.
Hunter previously agreed to a $2.5 million settlement
Their paternity suit was thought to be resolved in 2019 following a DNA test which proved that Hunter had fathered Navy Joan and he agreed to a reported $2.5 million settlement. But Hunter, who was recovering from drug addiction, reopened the case in September by claiming he had suffered "a substantial material change" in his income and was unable to afford the payments. Lunden petitioned the court to officially rename her daughter Navy Joan Biden to "benefit from carrying the Biden Family name," which Hunter considered a political warfare.
Judge Holly Meyer ordered him to appear at Independence County Circuit Court in person for a contempt hearing on Wednesday, May 3, after Hunter blew through multiple deadlines to turn over his documents.
Lunden's friend speaks out
"Hunter's political enemies may be relishing his awkward court encounter with Lunden but, for her, it's going to be extremely tough," Lunden's friend said. "The last time she saw him face to face she was 12 weeks pregnant, and they were listening to Navy Joan's heartbeat together. Hunter promised to support Lunden emotionally, physically, and financially. He said he wanted to go with her to the doctors' appointments and she had no reason to doubt him. That was the last time she saw him before he went ghost. There was sporadic communication via a friend for a short while - and then nothing."
'What about integrity and being a father?'
Twitter users also slammed Hunter Biden on social media. One user tweeted, "Forget the money, what about integrity and being a father? How much does that cost?" Another tweeted, "He better start painting." One wrote, "Hunter Biden is a grown-up who is not doing the right thing. He pays his dad a lot of money for rent and drives an expensive car, but he doesn't pay the money he should for taking care of his own children. That is not fair and it is not right", while another tweeted, "well, he's a biden, of course he's a disgrace." "It's almost as if he's corrupt. Who would've thought?!" tweeted another user.
