Several industry stars paid tribute after the sudden, untimely death of EXCOGI's Jake Adams

Adult star Jake Adams, who has worked for top studios like Reality Kings, Team Skeet, and Naughty America, was reported dead at 29. The young actor was a prolific performer, also known for his work as a producer and director. Adams, who had been overseeing the porn brand called Exploited College Girls aka EXCOGI, was identified as the victim of a crash near Encino, in Los Angeles, California, on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 16. 

AVN — dubbed the Academy Awards for porn — confirmed Adams' death through a confirmation from the LA County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office. Several devastated friends and co-workers of Adams also identified the actor as the victim of the fatal crash. News of this comes in the wake of OnlyFans adult entertainer Dakota Skye's mysterious death as the 27-year-old was found dead on June 11 at an unidentified location. Another porn star identified as Dahlia Sky, was also found dead with gunshot wounds in her car, in Los Angeles. And just a week ago, a porn star Kristina Lisina fell to her death from the 22nd floor of a St Petersberg building, clutching a coin that reads 'always in my heart'.

How did Jake Adams die?

On the afternoon of July 15, there were news reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle, sometime around 4.15 pm. The crash happened at White Oak, on the westbound side of the 101 freeway in the San Fernando Valley. The victim of the crash was identified as Jake Adams as devastated friends and co-workers recognized his remains, later in the night. The West Valley Office of the California Highway Patrol also confirmed the identity of the crash victim to be Adams, to adult entertainment reporting platform XBIZ, on the morning of July 16.

Known for his extravagant industry parties in his San Fernando Valley home, Adams was a South Carolina native who got a business degree in college. He ventured into porn after attending a porn party with a friend, and a year later, he was a contender at the 2018 AVN Awards for Best Male Newcomer. His performance in director Will Ryder's 2019 Adam & Eve Pictures comedy 'Love Emergency' earned him a 2020 AVN Awards nomination for Best Supporting Actor. In 2021, he threw another one of his elaborate industry parties on July 4, which all the big names in the adult entertainment world attended with much gusto.

Porn industry heartbroken

Adams' illustrious career has seen him work for some of the most elite brands in porn such as Cherry Pimps, Adult Time, Digital Playground, Adam & Eve, Nubiles, and many others. With over 700 IAFD credits since 2017, Adams collaborated with Brazzers and Mofos as well. In the wake of his death, Adams' impact on his peers in the industry has been highlighted as several stars took to social media to pay tribute to the young adult entertainer, expressing heartbreak and condolences.

Lacy Lennon, fellow adult entertainer, said: “My heart is shattered by this morning's news. Rest in Peace Jake.” Porn star Ashley Lane also tweeted: “This is absolutely heartbreaking. You will be missed dearly.” Allie Nicole wrote: “Rest in peace Jake Adams. I really can’t believe it. I was just with you catching up and excited for all the exciting things you had coming. Thank you for being a real friend to all who crossed your path. I love you forever. Fly high.”

Emma Starletto tweeted, "Jake Adams was one of the first people I ever met in the industry and He made me feel so welcomed. Jake, you are so cared for and you are loved by many. Hearts are broken this morning. We love U. RIP JAKE ADAMS." And Will Pounder tweeted: "I can't believe it's true... @jakeadamsxxx was one of the good ones. He cared about everyone else more than himself. Rest in peace ... we lost a good one."
