Mike Tyson is the biological father of seven children, including his late daughter Exodus Tyson, who was just four years old when she tragically died. According to reports, the little one’s death led Mike to a darker path than he was on before. He reportedly shared Exodus with Sol Xochitl. The two were not married but together had two kids, Exodus and her elder brother Miguel.

How did Mike Tyson lose his daughter?

In 2009, the year when the young girl died, she and her mother were living together while Mike was dating his current wife, Lakiha Spicer. Exodus reportedly got tangled up in the string or cord that hangs from a treadmill, which suffocated her. She was found by her older brother, who called their mother, and 911 was dialed. Until the help arrived, Xochitl performed CPR on her. Soon after that, Exodus was rushed to the ICU but could not be saved and was declared dead the next day of the accident.

ABC’s ‘Mike Tyson: The Knockout’ is reportedly presenting several sides of the boxing legend, whose life is full of controversies. And as the second part of the television documentary series launched, many are wondering what happened to one of Tyson’s kids, who died over a decade ago.

Upon investigation, it was found her death was a horrifying accident and nobody can be blamed for it. But at the time, Mike had reportedly told Oprah Winfrey that he did not want to know how exactly Exodus died because that might lead him to blame someone for it and that would be really troubling for that person.

A few years later, Mike appeared in an interview that was part of HBO’s ‘Real Sports’, where he confessed to doing cocaine after his daughter’s death. He also recalled how he used to be in the pediatric ICU and after seeing other parents’ conditions who were losing their children, he questioned his existence. He said that after failing to cope up with Exodus’ death, he did cocaine for a week.

This recent revelation has come almost a year after it was announced he was preparing for his exhibition game against Roy Jones Jr for charity despite being retired, which was scheduled for November 28, 2020, at the Dignity Health Sports Park, California. At the time, he also gave an interview to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid’s 'Good Morning Britain' show, where he said, “I just wanna do this, I plan on doing this for a charity (inaudible). And I think I’m capable of doing that and that’s what I wanna do.”

He then took to Twitter and wrote to Morgan, “Hey mate … I tried to stay up late for an interview but fell asleep and like a lion I’m hard to wake once asleep. Training hard and going to bed early. I had no monitor so I couldn’t see you guys and forgot to look into camera.” To which, the broadcaster replied: “No problem, Champ. We could see you were a bit weary! It was very late in LA. Appreciate this message as some viewers were concerned.”

But Morgan was slammed by Talk Radio’s Mike Graham for the interview. He said, “I’m going to ask him (Morgan) when I see him ‘did you get this wrong?’ What on earth were the producers thinking? I have producers here … if they had seen the state of Mike Tyson they would have said ‘we can’t put him on, he’s going to look ridiculous, it’s not going to be helpful, it’s going to look like we are trying to make something out of this and are proving ourselves to be the wrong kind of journalists’. This man is clearly not in a fit state to be on television … his head falls down at one point in the interview.”
