Far-right radio host Douglas Kuzma, and vocal advocate against the Covid-19 vaccine, has died. The 61-year-old, popularly known as Doug Kuzma, had gone to attend a three-day “ReAwaken America” event in Dallas, Texas, which included prominent speakers like Eric Trump, Mike Lindell, and Michael Flynn in mid-December 2021. 

After the event, a number of attendees fell sick and rumors began to surface that they were attacked by bioweapons. The conspiracy theorists reportedly completely ignored the surging cases of the deadly Covid virus and baselessly claimed themselves to be victims of an anthrax attack. Joe Oltmann, the far-right host of the Conservative Daily podcast, was also present at the conference, even shared on Telegram: “South Florida peeps. I have a [sic] urgent need! I have been sick with what could be an anthrax attack it turns out. More later on this.”

Oltman also later mentioned fellow 2020 election conspiracy theorist Jovan Pulitzer and said, “Jovan Pulitzer is in a bad place right now. Please pray for him. Bring the spirit of healing upon him. In Jesus name, Amen. Might be Anthrax,” before taking to Twitter to share: “To my friends tried to keep this underwraps until we knew what we were dealing with but Evidence suggest that several of us were targeted by biological agents at an event This has wreaked havoc on my system w all of the most dangerous symptoms appearing Scary to say the least.”

How did Doug Kuzma die?

Kuzma died of the coronavirus after contracting it at the Texas event. His daughter Amanda Kuzma confirmed his death on Thursday morning, January 6, and told The Daily Beast, “I really loved him and I would do anything for him. He was a great father.”

The news about the ill-health of the podcaster came out after pro-Trump attorney Lin Wood shared on Telegram that in late December Kuzma had “taken a turn for the worse” because, despite the treatment, there was no improvement in the condition of his lungs. He wrote on the cloud-based instant messaging service, “Doug is suffering from Covid after returning from a recent patriot conference. Anna [a friend of Kuzma] informs me that Doug has taken a turn for the worse. His lungs are not responding to treatment.”

Tim Greer, a fellow right-wing podcast host and close friend of Kuzma, also told The Daily Beast that he got infected with Covid-19 after attending the gathering. “Well, he didn’t have it before he went there, let’s say that,” he said, before adding, “Well, he [Kuzma] was tested positive for COVID, so COVID is what it is.” Meanwhile, a lot of people have reacted online after Kuzma’s death. A user tweeted, “I don't like even the idea of celebrating someone's death, but it's difficult to feel sorry for anti-vaxxers and covid-19 deniers who die of covid-19.” The second user wrote, “While I take no joy in the death of another human being, I take solace in the fact that this man can no longer mislead other human’s to their deaths. He joins a long list of politically mislead humans who have actively fought agianst staying alive.” “Who needs a rebirth of the Fairness Doctrine when COVID seems to be cleaning the disinfo house?” a tweet read.
