LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'House of the Dragon' Season 2 Episode 8 will air on August 4 on HBO, concluding a thrilling second season of the 'Game of Thrones' prequel series.

As this season wraps up, anticipation for the final episode is at an all-time high, with the trailer for the finale taking the excitement to an entirely new level.

In Episode 7, the Blacks gained the upper hand in the Targaryen Civil War with the addition of Dragonriders rallying to fight for Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy).

Here's a look at a few events that were teased in Episode 8's trailer.

Rhaenyra prepares for an assault on King's Landing

The teaser reveals Rhaenyra preparing for an assault on King's Landing, accompanied by the Dragonseeds. In 'Fire and Blood,' Rhaenyra successfully captures King's Landing with the help of the Dragonseeds.

This moment will serve as a satisfying payoff to a season-long journey, highlighting Rhaenyra's rise to prove herself worthy of the throne, especially following the death of Rhaenys Targaryen (Eve Best).

Aemond goes on a rampage with Vhagar

Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell) experienced his first major setback when he was forced to flee from Rhaenyra's newly recruited dragons. The teaser suggests that he will not take this defeat lightly.

Aemond will unleash a rampage atop his formidable dragon, Vhagar, wreaking havoc on everything in his path. His primary target is the Riverlands, where he intends to confront his uncle, Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith).

Alyn of Hull leads the naval charge

As the season progresses, Alyn of Hull (Abubaker Salim) has become increasingly significant, emerging as one of the most crucial characters as the season draws to a close.

Alyn will take on an even more pivotal role in the next season, as the Battle of Gullet will see him clash with the Triarchy in a legendary confrontation.

Helaena and Dreamfyre

Aemond requests that his sister Helaena Targaryen (Phia Saban) join the war with her dragon, Dreamfyre. However, Helaena, grappling with the mental strain of losing her child, is not in a state to participate in the conflict.

Helaena plays an important role in the downfall of Rhaenyra's reign when she commits suicide and that turns the smallfolk who sympathize with her against the Queen.

Tessarion's arrival

Tessarion arrives along with Daeron Targaryen to help the Greens in the battle. Daeron has been mentioned frequently this season, his young dragon will prove to be a formidable challenge for the Blacks.

Daeron will emerge as a key character, evolving into the greatest threat to Rhaenyra Targaryen's reign. His dragon, Tessarion, also known as the Blue Queen, will play a significant role in this conflict.
