'House of the Dragon': Fire-breathing dragons wreak havoc in BLAZING clip, fans call it 'damn crazy'
The premiere of ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel series ‘House of the Dragon’ is just around the corner and to make things more interesting, HBO has released a fiery teaser trailer just three days before the show makes its way to the network. The 55-second clip released on social media gives viewers a better idea about the things they are going to see on the show and why they should be ready for another enthralling journey.
The clip starts with the voice of King Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine) talking about how the road is uncertain, but the end is clear. He added, “We are better defended, by whoever may dare to challenge us.” Along with these dialogues we see several glimpses of all the major players that are trying to claim the throne. The video, titled ‘FIRE WILL REIGN’, features several scenes of the upcoming battles as the Targaryen Family gears up for a fight over who should be the successor to Viserys’ throne.

‘House of the Dragon’ primarily focuses on House Targaryen and the civil war that took after the death of King Viserys. The king announced Princess Rhaenyra as the heir to the throne in his will. However, a certain section of the kingdom didn’t want a woman to lead them and started posing problems in her way. As a result, Rhaenyra thought that “war” was the only way to get her what she deserves.
The rise and fall of House Targaryen will also be featured quite extensively on the show. The series sees Emma D’Arcy playing the role of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in the show, while Matt Smith portrays Prince Daemon Targaryen. Other actors to feature in the show include Paddy Considine (King Viserys I Targaryen), Olivia Cooke (Lady Alicent Hightower), Steve Toussaint (Lord Corlys Velaryon), Eve Best (Princess Rhaenys Velaryon), and Sonoya Mizuno (Mysaria).
Season 1 of ‘House of the Dragon’ will be premiering exclusively on HBO and HBO Max on Sunday, August 21, at 9 pm EST.
