Fans of the heartwarming Kdrama 'Hospital Playlist' got hyped up for the return of the cast on Monday, February 14, as the five main cast members were all seen together in an Instagram post by one of the actors. The photo got fans wondering if they are coming back for season 3, but are they?

The 2020 Tvn-and-Netflix K-drama written by Lee Woo Jung and directed by Shin Won Ho follows the lives of a group of docs and the immense bro-chemi they have. The show became one of the highest-rated medical dramas on cable television, and a season 2 followed to please the fans. When the finale aired on September 16, 2021, fans couldn’t help but flock to various platforms to write about their journey with the characters. Now that the successful series has ended, one of the leads, Kim Dae Myung, posted a photo with all of the main leads on February 14, 2022, which stirred the hearts of its fans to expect a third season. But the anticipation was soon doused by another update from the show.

On February 17, 2022, the cast members, along with director Shin Won Ho, were seen happily in a photo posted on the show's official Instagram. The caption of the post pointed out both the seasons along with a special commentary. The post translated to, "We're announcing that a director's cut Blu-ray disc of 'Hospital Playlist' will be produced. It will include seasons 1 and 2 as well as a special commentary by the actors! The set is coming soon, so stay tuned for just a little bit." Though this disappointed the eager fans, they were still happy for the commentary that’s going to come out.

Clearly enthused, many kdrama fans shared the news on Twitter. One of them wrote, “Honestly i’m sad and happy at the same time.. happy bc we’re getting new updates from them but sad bc seems like S3 isn’t on their plan at the moment 😞😩” In any case, fans are still hoping for Season 3 just like this one fan who wrote, “That’s been their line ever since S2 started, so I’m not losing hope for S3.” Rest assured, we will never forget the great times this series gave us!
