For an episode titled 'Best You'll Feel All Day', the synopsis, ironically enough, is the most scared you'll feel for Jackie Quinones (Monica Raymund) all season of Starz's hit new crime thriller, 'Hightown'. Her sobriety has been on the brink of relapse as things keep soaring for her professionally, and she battles her temptations to not give in to alcohol. And just as we are worried, she downed a solid shot of tequila at the end of the previous episode during the same time drug-related-murder witness Krista Collins (Crystal Lake Evans) gave up her sobriety and resorted to drugs. While we felt sorry for the two girls, parallel relapsing, the synopsis of the upcoming episode is ominous enough to highlight how this was all foreshadowing. We have reason to believe Jackie might lead to Krista's murder.

According to the official synopsis given by Starz, Episode 5 sees "Jackie throw everything that matters to her out the window, including her sobriety. Her reckless actions place Krista Collins in perils she never experienced before." We knew Jackie was putting everything at risk when she decided to celebrate her return to the BFO with a shot of tequila. It was good to see she hesitated at first, but the way she downed it at one go and the rush she felt after was enough to hint that this wasn't going to be an isolated or social practice. We knew once she caved in, it would be really hard for Jackie to go back, but at the same time, hurdles and relapses are a part of the recovery, and knowing how persistent and resilient she can be, we can hope Jack will be able to come back from there.

As for Krista, we're not so sure. She was the prime witness for Sherry Henry (Masha King)'s murder by resident druglord Frankie Cuevas's (Amaury Nolasco) right-hand man, Osito (Atkins Estimond). Nobody knows her secret but she is on the run worried about her life because she was close to Sherry. Paying with oral sex and all kinds of odd favors to get by, Krista has been shunned by her family and had to seek refuge with the people she used to get high with. The last episode saw her finally relapse after 47 days of sobriety, and in a moment of extreme high, she let slip to her friend that she witnessed Sherry's murder. The look her friend, albeit high, gave her was enough to hint that he has connections with Osito; and knowing how ruthless he can be, Krista couldn't be in graver danger.

But how will Jackie impact her safety? We know Jackie is trying to save Krista from meeting the same fate as Sherry, and she has even hunted down Krista's whereabouts now. All that's left is Jackie to confront Krista and ensure her safety, but the way the fish-cop is going around town investigating, Osito and his many eyes all around will definitely do all they can to stop Jackie from unraveling the cold reality. They can't let her talk to Krista, but they can't interfere and reveal their identities either. So they'll do what they do best and kill the helpless girl in some secluded part of town, and get her body dumped in the sea. For all we know, they will ask local fisherman and Jackie's close friend Junior McCarthy (Shane Harper) to do the dirty job, once again, and that would only make things more and more twisted.

'Hightown' airs on Sundays at 8 pm only on Starz.
