The latest episode of 'High Potential,' 'Turn, Up the Heat' aired on March 24 on ABC. The episode is directed by Viet Nguyen and written by Bob Goodman and Katie McElhenney. The crime comedy-drama series was created by Drew Goddard and premiered its second season on September 16, 2025.  With two more episodes to go in Season 2, the series has inched closer to solving the mystery of Roman Sinquerra, Morgan Gillory's (Kaitlin Olson) boyfriend and the father of her daughter, Ava. He went missing 16 years ago, and so far, we know that Willa Quinn had ordered Eric Hayworth to abduct Sinquerra, who worked as an undercover FBI informant. Fans get a major clue about his case in the episode.

The latest episode of 'High Potential' Season 2 reveals that a major political power player was also involved in Sinquerra's disappearance. At the start of Episode 16, Willa Quinn meets Selena, head of the Major Crimes Division, to keep a close eye on the investigation's progress. She offers to help with the case, but secretly works to sabotage the investigation. Selena informs Quinn that they found coded messages in the BlackBerry retrieved from Sinquerra's backpack from the day he disappeared.

Nick Wagner asks Gillory to join a panel, launched by his father, Wagner Sr., to investigate claims of corruption tied to Sinquerra's case. But she refuses, aware that it's a trap to distract her from the case. Willa had asked Wagner Sr. to move Gillory away from Major Crimes to stop her from digging into Sinquerra's case. This episode reveals that Wagner Sr. is in cahoots with Quinn, and they both hatched a plan to get rid of Sinquerra. Sinquerra was reporting to the agent Lila Flynn, who was killed shortly before Sinquerra went missing. To prevent the truth from coming out, Quinn also gets Hayworth transferred to an FBI facility to stop him from revealing information about Flynn's murder.

Also, the Major Crimes team looks into the murder of the graffiti tagger, Tyler Villanueva, who goes by the tag name of D'Fnkt. His dead body is found at the side of the building, Encase. Gillory and Detective Adam Karadec discover that Villanueva had just tagged the inside of the building before his death. He had been tagging over someone else's complete piece, so they suspect that Villanueva was killed because of it. Gillory's old friend, and former tagger, Nicole, leads them to the other tagger, Cyclops (whose real name is Anton), who was also hired to tag the building. As it turns out, Brad Latmore had paid the taggers to bring down the property's value so he could buy it cheap.

After speaking to the architect Gerald Lee, Gillory and Karadec learn that Encase was in the process of being torn down by developers. As they survey the building from the inside, a mini explosion occurs. Karadec escaped with a head injury, leaving him unable to continue the case. Wagner steps in and discovers that the building was built poorly, as the clients made a last-minute change to the design. Lee was unhappy with it and planned to burn down one side of the building so he could redesign it. However, when he arrived at the building to carry out his plan, he was caught by Villanueva, leaving Lee with no choice but to kill him. Watch the latest episodes of 'High Potential' Season 2 at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesdays on ABC.
