WALTERBORO, SOUTH CAROLINA: For the first time since his younger brother was convicted for killing his wife and son, Randy Murdaugh has spoken out, claiming that Alex is not speaking the truth about their horrible killings. For the past 20 months, Randy, 56, has been attempting to piece together what precisely transpired on the evening of June 7, 2021, when Alex Murdaugh's wife Maggie, 52, and their son Paul, 22, were shot to death.

Randy finds it difficult to imagine Murdaugh killing his wife and child, but he asserted that his younger brother is a serial liar. "He knows more than what he's saying,' Randy told The New York Times about the murders. "He's not telling the truth, in my opinion, about everything there", he added.

Alex 'never' bothered to know about the killer

Once Maggie and Paul were discovered dead, Randy, who did not testify in his brother's trial, as per the report, thought it was odd that Murdaugh did not contact anyone to find out if they had any information about why the mother and son might have been targeted. "I spent considerable time, day after day for weeks on end, calling people," Randy said, adding that Murdaugh never did. "I hoped that after the trial, because there's nothing more that can be presented, that I'd stop thinking about this," Having not spoken to his brother in a year, Randy remarked. "But so far, that has not been the case."

He made these remarks while Buster, Murdaugh's lone surviving son, reported journalists to the police. In a police report submitted on Sunday to the Beaufort County Sheriff's office, Buster complained about photographs of him and his girlfriend inside his Hilton Head house that later appeared in the NY Post.

In the meantime, four jurors have now explained how they arrived at their decision in the case and concurred that the most important piece of proof demonstrating Murdaugh's guilt was a damning cellphone video taken by Paul moments before he and his mother were shot and killed. Murdaugh is set to spend the rest of his days in prison.

Alex admitted to embezzling millions

Alex Murdaugh was given two life terms for the murders of his wife and son. At their prestigious South Carolina family law office, where they both worked closely, Randy confronted Alex about stealing from the business months after the deaths. According to his brother, Alex admitted to embezzling millions and claimed a painkiller addiction for it.

When Alex told Randy that he had been shot on the side of the road in what he subsequently revealed was a set-up for a life insurance scam, Randy said that Alex immediately broke his oath to never lie again. For that reason, Randy was the least to be seen during the trials. He stayed a for a year to repair the harm caused by his brother's deception and theft, he told the media outlet.
