According to reports, HBO is reportedly working on a "follow-up" of the hit series. The show, which aired from 2001-2005 for five seasons and 63 episodes, followed the lives of the Fisher family and their associates in the operation of a funeral home in Los Angeles.

What is ‘Six Feet Under’ about
'Six Feet Under' follows the lives of the Fisher family, who live in and run a funeral home, and who are thrown into disarray by the sudden death of the family patriarch, Nathaniel (Richard Jenkins) in the pilot episode. Each episode opens with a death and the cause of death forms the basis of the theme of the episode. The show was critically acclaimed for handling various subjects like miscarriage, sexuality, infidelity, etc in a very raw and realistic approach.
In its five seasons run 'Six Feet Under' was nominated for Emmy a total of 53 times, and won nine times. The HBO show also won several Golden Globe awards.
Who stars in 'Six Feet Under'
There's no news about the new cast of the HBO show. The original series featured Lauren Ambrose, 43; Frances Conroy, 68; Rachel Griffiths, 52; Michael C. Hall, 50; Peter Krause, 56; Mathew St. Patrick, 53; and, Freddy Rodriguez, 46, amongst its cast. The show helped launch many of the stars' careers.
Showrunners
According to Variety, the original series creator Alan Ball and executive producers Bob Greenblatt and David Janollari are all attached to executive produce the new project.
