The Season 2 finale of 'Euphoria' was a tearjerker for many. The episode begins with Custer trying to talk his way out of a tricky situation at Fez's house, as Faye starts to question him about Mouse's death. Ashtray, who had caught Custer behaving sketchy a little while ago, stabs him in the neck, resulting in his death. A rattled Fez, aware of the imminent arrival of the police, begs Ashtray to let him take the fall for the murder. However, Ashtray pistol-whips Fez and locks himself in the bathroom after arming himself to the teeth. The SWAT team breaks into the house, and what follows is an intense shootout, during which Ashtray accidentally shoots Fez.

An officer opens the bathroom door after Ashtray goes quiet, finding him lying on the floor. Suddenly, Ashtray sits up and shoots him dead, making a SWAT team member retaliate by shooting Ashtray on his forehead. Ashtray's death came as a disappointment to fans, who couldn't control their grief over the fictional character's untimely demise.
