HBO 'Euphoria' Season 2 finale leaves fans shattered: 'Never cried this hard'
Episode 7 of 'Euphoria' Season 2 saw Lexi take over the reins in a series that had so far portrayed her as a silent observer. Directing and acting in a play called 'Our Life,' Lexi encapsulated all the incidents that were significant to her from the ninth grade up until the present. The play, which offended some while entertaining the rest, had many scenes that added a different perspective to 'Euphoria' and gave us a peek into how Lexi felt throughout the series. Ending with a furious Cassie storming the stage while things were getting heated at Fezco's house, Episode 7 of 'Euphoria' Season 2 set the playing field for an apparently explosive finale.
Resuming at Fezco's house, Episode 8, titled 'All My Life, My Heart Has Yearned for a Thing I Cannot Name,' begins with Fez questioning Custer. Faye distracts the people in the room for a brief moment, using it as an opportunity to secretly let Fez know that Custer is wired. However, before Fez can make the next move, Ashtray stabs Custer in the neck, resulting in his death. While Fez tries to get Ashtray to safety before the police show up, Lexi's play is abruptly paused by Cassie, who tries to embarrass her and the rest of the actors. What follows is an intense, moving, and at times funny sequence of events.
