Who is Archie's former nanny Lorren Khumalo?
Khumalo is a neonatal nurse from Richmond Surrey. According to Check Company, she was born in 1976 and is therefore 46 years old. She was appointed as a Senior Nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS foundation trust. In 2011, she switched to The Portland hospital as a pediatric nurse. Again in 2015, Khumalo worked as a Senior Nurse in the Hospice Of St Johns Hospital. Ever since 2019, she has been self-employed and that's when she went to take care of Archie.
Khumalo shared her experience when she arrived at Frogmore Cottage. She described Prince Harry saying, "I see this guy, he's tall, he's ginger and he's walking barefoot." She then joked about how she went to buy a new pair of shoes from Clarks as soon as she got to know that she would be visiting Prince Harry and Meghan. Khumalo added that the casualty with which Harry was living made her feel comfortable. She said, "the formality just sort of slid and I felt so at ease." Khumalo described Harry and Meghan as "hands-on" parents.
She said that the first thing the royal couple would do after walking up was to be with their baby and feed him. After that, Khumalo used to take over. Being a Zimbabwe native, she asked Meghan, "Is it okay if I, like tie him on my neck on my back with a mud cloth, as we do in Zimbabwe?" Meghan replied with a big "yes." Meghan talked about Archie's former nanny saying, "She just took care of, not just Archie, but she took care of us. She definitely took care of me."
