Harry and Meghan BOOED at St Paul's as Queen skips Jubilee's service of thanksgiving
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were reportedly booed when they arrived at St Paul's following Megxit's "enormous snub" to Queen Elizabeth II.
Meghan, 40, beamed in a white ensemble as she arrived at St Paul's alongside her husband, 37, to attend the service of thanksgiving for the Queen's reign on Friday, June 3. The Sussexes grinned from ear to ear as they left their car and walked up the stairs of the London cathedral. However, news commentators noted how the couple was received with a mix of boos and cheers by members of the public who were lined up outside the cathedral.

Harry and Meghan continued to smile widely despite the mixed reception and were eventually greeted by clergymen in attendance. The pair held hands and appeared in high spirits as they took their seat. As they walked inside, Sky News commentator Rhiannon Mills briefly spoke of an "enormous snub" by the Sussexes towards the Firm. She said, "Consistently they have said how they love and respect the Queen. But however, the fact it was suggested they did not tell her about their plans to step away from royal life I think was seen as an enormous snub to a woman that so many of us hold in such high regard."
During their interview with Oprah Winfrey last year, Harry and Meghan maintained that they didn't blindside the Queen in any way with their shocking decision to exit the royal family. Harry rejected the accusations that he took his grandmother by surprise with the January 2020 statement about their intention to carve out a new role for themselves outside The Firm. The Duke said he had told the monarch of his plans in late 2019 and was slated to discuss them in person upon his return to England from Canada in early 2020.
The Sussexes sat alongside close friends Jack Brooksbank and Princess Eugenie during the Friday service. However, they were seated far from Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William, Prince Charles, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, possibly due to the royal pecking order.
Meanwhile, the Queen pulled out of the service after reportedly experiencing some "discomfort" during Trooping the Colour on Thursday, June 2. She is said to have watched the service from her home in Windsor Castle.
As noted by Express UK, Meghan last attended a royal engagement of a similar scale in March 2020, when she was invited to take part in the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey. It would be the Duchess's second-last engagement as a working royal, before a gathering at Buckingham Palace. Both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially stepped down as senior royals at the end of that month. The pair has since relocated to California and embarked on a new journey for themselves as non-working members of the British royal family.
MEAWW previously reported how Harry and Meghan were not invited to step onto the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the RAF flypast alongside the Queen on Thursday after it was decided that only working royals could join her for the occasion. However, they are expected to make an appearance at the palace Saturday night, June 4, for a concert in honor of the Queen's 70-year reign.
