Stevie J's relationships and scandals
The rapper-music producer has been with six women. At one point, there was a love triangle even. He dated rapper-turned-actress Eve from 1997 to 2003. They were much in love and even wrote songs for each other until Eve found out she was being cheated on.
A few years later, in 2007, Stevie popped the question to Whoopi Goldberg's daughter Alexandrea Martin. Unfortunately, the engagement didn't last long and the couple quit shortly after. What followed were four publicized relationships, which were characterized by extreme highs and lows.
He called former 'Love and Hip Hop Atlanta' co-star DJ Traci Steele a 'one-night stand' while the latter dismissed claims by confirming they were in a long-term relationship. According to an Atlanta Black Star report, the pair called time on their relationship after he allegedly "impregnated" a 20-year-old girl.
Stevie's obsession with dating 'LHHATL' women continued when he began seeing Mimi Faust. They dated for thirteen years and share a daughter, Eva Giselle Jordan. Much like his previous relationships, this one too came to an end after she learned he cheated on her with one of their common castmates Joseline Hernandez.
Joseline and Stevie dated for four years. In 2016, the couple welcomed daughter Bonnie Bella. Theirs was a high-profile relationship that ended when Stevie cheated on the self-proclaimed 'Puerto Rican princess'. Finally, he stopped his dating adventures with Faith Evans, his friend of over two decades. They eloped to Las Vegas, Nevada, got married in 2018.
Arrest and drugs
It has been a tough few years for Stevie. While his professional life is pretty sorted, connections with family and relationships have gone for a toss. He was ordered to fork over $1.3 million in unpaid child support dating back to 1999. Even though, the initial chatter was that he would be given jail time if he failed to cough up the amount. Stevie was asked to pay 25 percent of his monthly income ($27,000) towards child support until the debt is cleared, Page Six reported. The case had been on since 2014 and in 2016 he was ordered rehab time and home detention for violating bail terms.
In an interview with the “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show,” in 2016 Stevie revealed he was swayed into cocaine by the people around him. “Man, I was at the Trump in New York City. All my buddies used to do it and I used to say, ‘I’m cool, you know, I smoke my weed.’ And it was just a plethora of women around and everybody was in it and I was like ‘Let me try that.’ I tried it once. I woke up the next morning like ‘Yo, what happened?’ I fell asleep on everybody,” Stevie had shared. However, Stevie then explained that his habit went from a once-a-week thing to a daily thing when he moved to LA. “After the L.A. thing, I moved back out here to Atlanta and I started to focus more on my children. But L.A. is really where it got bananas,” Stevie had explained.
"I think its a bunch of bulls---," Jordan said of home confinement and added: "Of course I'm not OK with it, but it's more or less like confinement to home for what? Cause I'm a black tax paying citizen taking care of all his kids?" NY Daily News quoted the artist as saying.
