'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16: Alex Karev and Richard Webber’s job of sprucing up Pac North just got tougher

Pac North hospital is a complete mess. Can Alex Karev and Richard Webber save it?
PUBLISHED OCT 31, 2019

There has been a slight change of location in 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16. After Alex Karev and Richard Webber were fired by Miranda Bailey at the end of the previous season, they found work in the worst hospital possible.

Pac North has every fault and flaw that you can think of, and the two distinguished doctors are at their wit's end as they're wondering how to spruce up their new workspace.

Pac North is known for its callous treatment of patients and lack of equipment. Alex and Richard discovered this on their first day at work.  Richard doesn't even have an office as yet.

They discover that the struggling hospital is top of the list when it comes to high mortality rates, patient dissatisfaction and malpractices. In short, the place is a hot mess and the two doctors are doing their best to breathe life into it and get some investors, but luck doesn’t seem to be on their side.

However, far from demanding Bailey to give them their jobs back, Alex and Richard are determined to make the most of their situation and prove her wrong.

To make matters worse, going by the latest promo, the hospital is built near a mass grave. Alex finds bones and other remains.  Richard Webber jokingly says, "No wonder this place seems haunted."

So, it remains to be seen how the two doctors will manage to bring in investors and pump in money into the dying hospital.

However, in the previous episode, Alex has managed to rope in Owen Hunt for Pac North as well. Owen Hunt was meant to stay away from work and stick to paternal duties, but of course, being a doctor on a show like 'Grey's Anatomy', how do you expect that to happen?

Maybe the three original Grey-Sloane memorial doctors will be able to revive the hospital from the congealing mess that it is.

Some fans are not entirely pleased about this change of location. One fan had written, "So I'm going to need them to wrap this all up and get all original Grey Sloane Memorial employees back up under one roof....Maggie can resign."

Another praised Alex for taking up the challenge and wrote, "Alex is ready for this challenge. Get it!!"

Will Alex and Richard breathe new life into Pac North?  The next episode of 'Grey’s Anatomy' will air on ABC on October 31 and answer that question.
