A new reality show is asking couples to film their sexual interactions and watch them with a sex coach to find out if anything went amiss. 'Good Sex,' which premieres on August 19 will have snippets of sex tapes presented to the audience, but the couple's most intimate sections are censored.

The reality show is a Karga Seven Pictures production for Discovery+, which follows five couples who are having trouble in their sex lives as they work with a coach to improve it. The star of this reality show is Caitlin V Neal, a sex coach in her 30s who goes by Caitlin V.

Caitlin V explained to The New York Post why she supports the stripped-down strategy. "When we are doing talk-based coaching sessions, I'm asking people to describe in words something that's far beyond our ability to articulate: a sexual encounter," she said. "Often, because people don't have a shared baseline understanding, [talking] pales in comparison to being able to see that on video."

The series follows Caitlin V (the V standing for Victorious) as she goes about her workday, meeting with a variety of clients who seek her advice on problems related to sex. This particular season of the show covers up intimacy issues, such as mismatched libidos, difficulty inducing orgasm, and erectile dysfunction.

Clients are invited to set up cameras in their beds and engage in sexual activity before meeting the coach for the actual work to commence. Caitlin V doesn't find it strange or intrusive to watch other people's sex films because it helps her do her duties more efficiently and adequately.

"My goal is to find a neutral and compassionate base from which to receive information from them," Caitlin V said. "I want people left with a sense that whatever they're going through in their own intimate lives is normal, and there is hope. It's OK to seek help."

In one of the episodes, Erica, 37, and Thomas, 35, a couple from Wisconsin, came to Caitlin V as Erica was unable to reach climax during sex. Thomas noticed himself as they went through their records and said, "I need to slow down."

Caitlin V observed the couple and remarked that Erica began "moaning full volume, full power" within the first few minutes. She said, "I just know this has got to be part of a performance for her and not actually in response to what’s happening."

Caitlin V claimed that if she had only asked them to explain their sexual experiences in words, she might not have recognized the problem since Erica might not have acknowledged the deception in her moans. During their session, Erica learned that she was still dealing with issues of sexual shame and suppression that were a result of her strict upbringing in the church. In order to make her feel more comfortable with her sexuality, she was given the "homework" of checking herself in the mirror.
