Girl, 13, who was impregnated by her 10-year-old boyfriend shows off her baby bump, says she's keeping child
A pregnant Russian teen who made headlines after claiming the father of her unborn child is a 10-year-old boy has now proudly shown off her baby bump. Daria "Dasha" Sudnishnikova shocked the world when she appeared on a Russian TV show claiming the father of her child was a boy named Ivan.
The 13-year-old is from the Siberian nuclear town of Zheleznogorsk, and has now posted pictures of her showing herself 20 weeks pregnant in a new social media post.
She has also made clear that she will keep the baby and expects to give birth via Caesarean. As per reports, her family is also supporting her in her plan.
Daria became a social media star after revealing details and updates about her pregnancy to her thousands of followers on social media. She and her boyfriend with parental permission also appeared on a television show to talk about the former's pregnancy and how their relationship bloomed after meeting each other.
The kids are reportedly from different schools in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in Siberia but have known each other since they were younger. The duo had also claimed they had sex after falling in love at first sight.
As previously reported, their neighbors have expressed doubt about Ivan being the father of the unborn child. Dr Evgeny Grekov, a urology and andrology expert, has also refuted the teen’s claims and said tests had proved the young boy could not be the father. “We rechecked the laboratory results three times so there cannot be any mistake. There cannot be sperm cells. He is still a child. There is even no testosterone. And just to add, he still has childish sex organs. Puberty has not started."
But, Daria has insisted that she has only one partner and that is Ivan. Her claims have been supported by a psychologist in Russia, The Sun reported.
The girl has also refuted the claims that said she was raped by a 15-year-old boy named Stepan and eventually became pregnant with his child and to hide the rape, she had invented the story about Ivan. Daria said: “First of all, I don’t even know any Stepan…”
She also denied the reports that claimed the rape place in a stairwell. The girl said it cannot be possible as there were “cameras everywhere”. Daria deemed the claims as “complete nonsense”, and added there had been no DNA test to confirm the paternity.
“I’ll tell you more later …(including) why they said that [Ivan] ‘is not fertile’,” she told her followers in her recent social media post.
Meanwhile, local police have also launched a probe into the case. They are also getting help from the girl’s school. A police spokesman said: "On January 13, 2020, the police received information from doctors of the Federal State Budget Healthcare Institution of the city of Zheleznogorsk that a 13-year-old schoolgirl was pregnant.
“The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia have launched an investigation and a decision will follow."
