Ferrell stars as Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins, a former golf champion desperate to win one final major and complete his career Grand Slam before calling it quits. Unfortunately, his body isn't cooperating, and his son Lance (Jimmy Tatro) has become golf's newest sensation. Cue family drama, rivalry, and plenty of hilarious chaos on and off the course.
Heartstopper Forever
If you're looking for a heartfelt watch this weekend, Heartstopper Forever is now streaming on Netflix, having premiered on July 17. The feature-length movie serves as the finale to the beloved Heartstopper series, bringing Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie's (Joe Locke) story to a close. Based on the final Heartstopper graphic novel and Alice Oseman's Nick and Charlie novella, the nearly two-hour film follows the couple as they face their biggest hurdle yet. With Nick getting ready for university and Charlie growing more independent, the reality of a long-distance relationship puts their love to the ultimate test.
Ride or Die
Every friendship has surprises, but Ride or Die takes that idea to a completely new level. The series premiered on Amazon Prime Video on July 15, and all eight episodes of Season 1 are now available to binge. Is Lucky actually lucky? Well, you'll have to watch and find out! Lucky premiered on Apple TV+ on July 15, with the first two episodes available now. New episodes arrive every Wednesday, leading up to the finale on August 19. The crime thriller stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Luciana “Lucky” Armstrong, a brilliant con artist whose plan to leave her criminal life behind falls apart after her husband, Cary (Drew Starkey), disappears with their heist money. Now hunted by both the FBI and a ruthless mob boss, Lucky has to rely on her instincts, and maybe a little luck, to survive.
They Fight
If you're in the mood for an inspiring sports drama, They Fight is worth adding to your weekend watchlist. The feature film premiered on July 17 and is now streaming on Hulu. Inspired by the 2018 documentary of the same name, the movie stars Andre Holland as Walt Manigan, a former boxer and ex-con trying to rebuild his relationship with the mother of his son, Ketta, played by Samira Wiley. As he leaves his own fighting days behind, Walt discovers a new purpose by coaching a group of teenage boxers in Washington, D.C., as they chase a shot at the national championship.
