Spider-Man: Brand New Day Guide: 5 Movies You Need to Watch Before MCU's New Film

And finally, the one that's absolutely non-negotiable: Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). Since Brand New Day picks up after this film, it's the most important refresher on the list. Picking up right after Far From Home, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) turns to Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) after Mysterio exposes his identity to the world. One spell goes horribly wrong, cracks open the multiverse, and brings familiar villains (and Spider-Men) from other universes into the MCU.
