(G)I-DLE's Yuqi calls A Business Proposal's Kim Sejeong 'an angel' for her kind gesture

Yuqi shared the Instagram DM Kim Sejeong sent to cheer her up when the (G)I-DLE member posted that she was having a hard time in China back in 2021

We have seen idols support other idols out in public but many other idol friendships aside from public interactions are often kept from fans. (G)I-DLE’s Chinese member Yuqi shocked fans with a new revelation that has made their hearts burst with pride over Kim Se-jeong. The SBS and Netflix K-drama, ‘A Business Proposal’ may have ended a while ago but fans are still finding ways to reminisce the magic created by the 12-episode rom-com series. 

From side couple, Kim Mingue and Seol Inah’s off-screen chemistry to Ahn Hyoseop and Kim Sejeong's steamy makeout scene which fans call an unboxing of Samantha and Rachel, the show has given fame to all the names involved with it. Now as Kim Se Jeong is finally getting the love that she deserves, a new idol has come to share her love for Se-jeong who herself is a K-pop idol. Se-jeong was a part of the project group I.O.I and is also a singer under the girl group Gugudan.

(G)I-DLE Yuqi calls Sejeong an angel for her support

Yuqi of (G)I-DLE recently posted a story on her Instagram account drawing attention to Sejeong’s kind gesture from last year which has fans emotional. Yuqi shared an Instagram DM from Sejeong that she only got to read now and called Sejeong an angel. Yuqi revealed that she was having a hard time last year when she was a part of the Chinese variety show, ‘Stage Boom’. In a story she posted back in 2021, fans saw how she was really suffering which seems to have gotten to Kim Sejeong too.

Yuqi stated that as a response to that story, Kim Sejeong sent her a direct message to cheer her up. On April 8, Yuqi mentioned Sejeong in her story and thanked her for the message. In a VLive on April 9, Yuqi also revealed that she did not know how to access her DM’s back then and only got to check the message, now, a year since the message was sent. Yuqi posted the entire message text from Sejeong that fans have translated where the K-drama actress can be seen extending support to the (G)I-DLE member.

'Sejeong is busted, I know she is an angel'

Both Yuqi and Sejeong stated that they did not know each other personally which is why Sejeong’s message is much more precious to fans who are praising the idol and actress for her kind gesture without any expectations in return. Now fans are hoping that the two have some public interactions and turn into real-life friends. One fan said, "I'm watching Yuqi's vlive right now and YQ explained that originally, she didn't know how instagram dm's work and never checked it. She just learned it today. During the time when she was having a hard time in China, Sejeong messaged her even though they didn't know each other."

One fan said, "We can really hear how Yuqi is so grateful towards sejeong’s DM… She went through alot and getting an unexpected DM from someone she didn’t expect really lifts up that person in another level… Sejeong is really an angel and thank you Yuqi for sharing it to the world." One more fan said, "To know what Sejeong went through in life she must want to protect younger idols also having struggles…yuqi was having such a hard time then that she wasn’t responding to even her members messages, to think sejeong reached out despite not being close." One fan said, "Kim Sejeong is busted. (Come) on girl show us your wings. I know your an angel."

Another fan said, "Whats amazing here is Sejeong still sent an encouraging message to Yuqi eventho the possibility of her reading this is low?? and that's actually what happened? Yuqi only saw it today. Sejeong cares unconditionally. An angel indeed. Stan Sejeong everyone!" One more fan said, "Sometimes you just really need to hear those words. Doesn't matter if it came from someone ur close with or not. But once you hear it it'll be so comforting. Sejeong probably knows that feeling more than anyone else.
