Who is Darren Merager? Trans pervert arrested 15 months after exposing herself to underage girl in Wi Spa
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A transgender fugitive who was wanted for indecently exposing herself in two separate changing room incidents in Los Angeles has been arrested. Darren Merager, who identifies as a female, was on the run for more than 15 months before being arrested on Tuesday, December 20 by LA police. It was not clear where she was apprehended but it was somewhere in the Golden State, stated arrest records, according to Daily Mail.
Merager, a biological male who identifies as a female, is a convicted sex criminal. She faces 11 indecent exposure charges including an infamous altercation at Wi Spa, where Merager is accused of exposing herself to several women, including an underage girl. Even though the 53-year-old claimed to be a victim of transphobia and stated she will fight against the allegations in court, she suddenly went on the run in September 2021.

In June, a video posted by a female patron at Wi Spa went viral on social media - showing her complaining to staff that "a man" had exposed his penis to her and others - including a young girl - in the women's section. "It’s okay for a man to go into the women’s section, show his penis around the other women, young little girls — underage — in your spa?" the frustrated woman, who is reportedly being treated as one of the victims in the case, said. "He’s a man! He is a man!" the woman claimed in the three-and-a-half-minute video. However, the video sparked violent protests with many, including leftist radical group Antifa, defending Merager.
The truth was unveiled after LA police became aware of the controversy, exposing Merager as a registered sex offender - convicted for similar incidents in 2002 and 2003, including an arrest warrant for a separate locker room incident in December 2018, followed by scores of other offenses.
Merager's extensive criminal history includes three burglaries, two convictions for indecent exposure in 2002 and 2003, a third exposure case that Merager is still contesting, failure to register as a sex offender in 2006, unlawful carrying of a switchblade, three trespassing convictions in 2000 and 2001, two guilty verdicts of loitering with intent to commit a crime, resisting arrest, reckless driving, driving without a license, unlawful taking of another’s vehicle without permission, and giving false identification to a police officer in 2007, according to Daily Mail.
She was booked by LA police for the spa and pool incidents, with a bail set at $350,000. Merager's first court appearance is slated for December 30, where she will address the 11 indecent exposure charges against her.
