LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Firefly Lane’ has to come to an end with Season 2 Part 2, and we are certain that the fans are already missing their favorite characters, Kate and Tully, played by Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke. Although this drama series took a hot minute to garner the attention of viewers, once it did, there was a dedicated fan following who stuck around for three decades of a hot and cold friendship that has faced all kinds of problems one could imagine.

While ‘Firefly Lane’ might have ended, that doesn’t mean you need to put your device away and sulk after your binge. Instead, you can start watching the next show, because we’ve got some recommendations for all the ‘Firefly Lane’ fans!

1. 'Dead to Me'

Did you particularly enjoy the female friendship portrayed in ‘Firefly Lane’? If that’s the case, then ‘Dead to Me’ will be right up your alley. In fact, these two shows have a fair bit of similarities despite the premise being poles apart. Nevertheless, the portrayal of turbulent female friendship remains a constant between these shows. With three seasons, a star-studded cast, and some brilliant comedy and drama, ‘Dead to Me’ definitely needs to be next on your list. All three seasons are available to stream on Netflix!

2. 'Laverne & Shirley'

We are going all the way back to the '70s for this recommendation, because ‘Laverne & Shirley’ is that American sitcom that stays forever young. It doesn’t matter which generation you belong to, or what year you were born, this sitcom will nuzzle its way into the crook of your heart. Frankly, after an emotional journey with ‘Firefly Lane’ Season 2 Part 2, ‘Laverne & Shirley’ is exactly what might need!

3. 'Grace and Frankie'

‘Grace and Frankie’ is a slightly more unique show when it comes to portraying female friendships, but that’s what makes this one of our favorite additions to the list. If you want to have a good laugh and focus on the growth of friendship, where age is no exception, then ‘Grace and Frankie’ is the perfect show for you! This Netflix original has seven seasons, so grab your best friend and let the binge begin.

4. 'The Golden Girls'

After seven seasons and 180 episodes, ‘The Golden Girls’ just never gets old. If you have already seen this classic, we recommend you watch it again, because, after Kate and Tully, you’re going to need a refresher course on the power of female friendships. While this show isn’t about two friends in particular, it remains one that perfectly showcases the beauty, strength, and perseverance of women and their relationships. If you have been thinking of rewatching ‘The Golden Girls’ this is your sign!

5. 'Gilmore Girls'

Now this recommendation might be slightly old, but it is golden, not as golden as 'The Golden Girls' though! ‘Gilmore Girls’ covers every single drama trope that you can possibly think of, over a span of seven seasons. Chances are, you have already watched ‘Gilmore Girls’ but after the end of ‘Firefly Lane’ Season 2 Part 2, this old but gold show might just be the warm hug that you need. Plus, who wouldn’t want to see Rory and Lorelai back on their screens?
