According to the police, the shooters drove a dark-blue sedan with tinted windows and a temporary tag. The car didn’t stop during the shooting and only slowed down while four people fired shots from all four windows of the sedan, according to CBS News. The officials believe that a drug deal may have been taking place during the time of the shooting as marijuana was recovered from the crime scene, which is 30 miles east of Tampa.
'No correlation'
Police arrived at the scene only a minute after the shooting began and found three injured victims initially. The other victims were taken privately to a hospital by authorities. The shooting occurred near Iowa Avenue North and Plum Street, MEAWW reported.
Many experts are slamming weak gun laws in the region, and some are defending sighting there’s ‘no correlation.’
In an unrelated incident, a mass shooting was reported from an upscale Los Angeles neighborhood, where three people were killed and four others wounded on Saturday, January 28. Notably, this was the sixth mass shooting incident reported in the Californian state this month.
