Mass shooting in upscale LA neighborhood leaves 3 dead and 4 injured
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In breaking news coming from an upscale Los Angeles neighborhood, in California, three people were killed and four others suffered injuries in a shooting incident on early Saturday, January 28. According to the police, the gunshots were heard from a short-term rental home at about 02.30 am, in the Beverly Crest neighborhood. This mass shooting incident is at least the sixth such occasion reported this month in California.
Sgt Frank Preciado of the Los Angeles Police Department informed that the killing took place inside a vehicle, where two of the four victims were rushed to a hospital in a private vehicle, and two others were taken by ambulance. As per Sgt Bruce Borihanh, police spokesperson, two of the victims are in critical condition, and two are in stable condition. The officials are yet to release the name, and ages of the victims. He added that the authorities are trying to determine what kind of gathering was it and whether they all came together for a party.

Borihanh updated the press that as of now there is no information related to suspects, and the block was sectioned off as investigators gathered available evidence. The recent mass shootings have jolted Californians since the state has stringent firearm laws and also gun deaths are reported to be at the lowest rates countrywide, reports Associated Press. According to Gun Violence Archive, in the US, last year recorded for the third straight time over 600 mass shootings. In total, at least four people died or got wounded as per official figures.
