LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It’s expected of a ‘Fast and Furious’ film to entertain until the credits start rolling. For fans of the blockbuster franchise, the rollercoaster should be endless. They want to be thrown into the chaotic abyss left by Dominic Toretto and his peers. They want to be shaken to their core with heart-pumping action until they forget they were only watching a film about a man who wants to save his family. Only, Dom, as he’s so-called, does it by drifting and swerving cars around the world. ‘Fast X’ is surely an entertaining summer ride for anyone looking to leave their troubles behind for a cool few hours.

The tenth installment of the global ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise, ‘Fast X’, is filled with Hollywood royalty from Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, and Brie Larson to John Cena, Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, and others. The director, Louis Leterrier, has gone way back into the past and constructed a villain named Dante Reyes, played by the ever-charming Jason Momoa. Dante is the son of Herman Reyes, the man who was killed in Rio De Janeiro by Dom and company in the fifth installment of the series. He’s here to avenge his father’s death by hurting Dom’s young son. And like always, Dom’s “family” is here to help.

Dante proves his superiority to Dom

Dante is a villain of wit and quirks. He fools Roman, brings him to Rome, and unleashes a rolling bomb that threatens to eradicate Vatican City. He steals Cypher’s team, races Dom in Rio, and almost kills Elena’s sister. He doesn’t stop there. He steals God’s eye and finds Dom’s young son who is at a safe house guarded by Jakob, Dom’s brother. When the rest of Dom’s team, Roman, Han, Ramsey, and Tej arrive to assist Dom, Dante blows their plane. He even surprises Dom by letting him believe that Aimes, who is handling Mr Nobody’s agency, is a good guy.

Towards the end, Dante forces Dom and his son to take shelter as he decides to blow up the dam. This is a cliffhanger that is expected to resolve in the upcoming part but one member of Dom’s team is yet to be saved - Letty. We soon see a familiar face, a face that we had long forgotten and thought was gone for good, come forward to save Letty.

Gisele is back

Gal Gadot who played Gisele until the sixth installment of the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise is back from the dead. Letty, along with Cypher, escapes from a high-end prison and finds herself in the middle of an Arctic-like place. When Letty and Cypher come out of the prison hole, they witness Gisele smiling, waiting to take them away safely. Gisele was Han’s girlfriend in the series and sacrificed herself in ‘Fast and Furious 6’ to save Han. It will be a nostalgic reunion for Gisele and Han whose relationship was loved by the fans of the franchise. But that’s not all that ‘Fast X’ offered to its fans. In a mid-credit scene, Hobbs played by the legendary Dwayne Johnson arrives to find a message from Dante that he’s coming for him. The setup for the next ‘Fast’ adventure is already in place.
