VALLARTA, MEXICO: On this week's episode of 'Bachelor in Paradise', Justin, who just made a comeback, asked Eliza out on a date. While she was furious that her current partner, Rodney didn't stop her from going on a date, viewers were outraged to see her not appreciate his point of view.

On Monday's episode of 'Bachelor in Paradise', Justin Glaze returned to the beach — and gave Rodney Matthews a Halloween nightmare. Justin returned to Paradise after hearing Eliza had arrived after he had gone. Justin, of course, arrived with a date card. He instantly drew Eliza into a conversation and stated that he had returned for her.

What's the current relationship status of 'Bachelor in Paradise' 2022 cast members? Here's a look

"I'm so flattered," Eliza told Justin. Eliza added that she'd been chatting to Rodney and "didn't think I could see anyone else coming down those steps that I'd be interested in enough to talk to, but then you came." Justin invited Eliza on a date, which she accepted — but she still wanted to inform Rodney. "'I want him to say, 'You're mine. Don't go,'" Eliza told the cameras.

"That's what I want him to tell me," she says, but Rodney tells her he's here for her and doesn't want her to feel pressed in any way. It's OK if she wants to depart. "I'm not going anywhere," he declares.

Eliza is not pleased with this completely fair and gracious reaction. "You want me to go?" she says, perplexed. Rodney tries to clarify, adding that while he's not thrilled to see her go on a date, it might help reinforce their emotions for one other — or prove that they're not the greatest match. Eliza finally tells Rodney, "I kind of want you to tell me you don't want me to go." He goes, "I don't want you to go! But that might be what's best for you to truly gain clarity."

Viewers observed that even though Eliza wants Rodney's affirmation, he may be afraid of pushing her away if he attempts to prevent her from going on a date. They've only been "together" for a few days. He's trying not to be arrogant. Eliza, on the other hand, only hears that he doesn't care if she goes on a date with someone else. "If that's how you really feel, that you're okay with me pursuing a different person, then you don't feel that strongly about me, I don't think," Eliza cries. "Now I feel stupid."

Eliza leaves for her date with Justin, while Sad Rodney walks the beach, feeling all the sorrowful emotions.

Fans were quick to slam Eliza for trying to turn Rodney into a jealous boyfriend, "RODNEY IS EMOTIONALLY MATURE & ELIZA JUST WANTED HIM TO BE A JEALOUS BOYFRIEND." Another fan added, "Eliza is really mad that Rodney said “I care about you and don’t want you to go but if exploring is what you need to do then go”…. Instead of being…. Controlling and possessive? Bruh." Some fans also dragged Eliza for already having said yes to the date yet still continuing her back and forth, "Eliza is acting like she didn’t already say yes to the date with Justin." Calling out Eliza on her self-destructing act, a fan wrote, "Eliza? Why are you self destructing? Rodney was being so respectful."

Another fan felt Eliza is ruining her own relationship, "Rodney is being respectful and thoughtful. Eliza is confused and muddying their relationship." One fan turned the question around by saying, "Eliza said yes to the date with Justin, so SHE is the one who wasn’t 100% about Rodney." One fan tried to remind Eliza how Rodney was merely following Paradise rules, "Excuse me Eliza??? Rodney was literally just letting you do what the ENTIRE POINT OF PARADISE IS, and now you wanna trash talk him to Justin? Absolutely not." Another fan felt how Eliza didn't deserve Rodney at all, "ELIZA DONT LIE. HE SAID DONT GO BUT DIDNT WANT TO CONTROL YOUR CHOICES. YOU DONT DESERVE KING RODNEY."
