Fans slam Dispatch for leaving Ateez Jongho out of a video by trending '#Ateez_Is_Eight'

Atinys call out Korea Dispatch for not mentioning that Ateez Johgho was injured and keeping him out of an interview

Ateez has been doing really well, globally and after the success of their latest concert, ‘The Fellowship: Beginning of the End’, and their Grammy Museum interview following that. With that being said the group’s tagline goes as ‘Eight makes on team’ but Atinys (Ateez Fans) are calling out Korea’s news agency, Dispatch for obliterating it when they released a new interview that featured only seven of the eight members, leaving Jongho out.

The boy group Ateez may have outdone themselves after their stint in the USA with the group selling out stadiums within seconds and grabbing an exclusive interview with US Grammys. All this has made Atinys really proud of the boys but fans have been really concerned for the members of Ateez as one after another multiple members of the group were reported to have fallen sick. Jongho took the lead in this department when he, Mingi, and Yeosang all skipped fan meets while they were in the US due to health concerns, and days later San reported testing positive for Covid-19 a second time.

Why leave Jongho out?

Jongho, the group's maknae in particular suffered from stomach issues at first only for it to be reported that he had injured his leg ahead of the concert making him leave the concert day midway through. Now, a video interview has been released with Ateez members and Korea Dispatch where fans notice that Jongho was missing from the interview.

Fans are claiming that despite Dispatch giving a written disclaimer at the bottom of the screen, fans deserve to see an official message from their team regarding Jonho’s absences. Claims suggest that the day this interview with Dispatch was filmed, Jongho had injured himself but fans allege that despite the injury, Jongho made a brief appearance on stage for the second-last day of the Ateez World Tour in Los Angeles, California.

Following his abrupt exit from stage mid-concert, member Yunho told fans about his injury. Despite that, eager to meet the fans he loves, Jongho appeared on a live stream with other Ateez members after the end of the concert day.

‘Ateez is Eight’

All these instances have caused fans to call out Korea Dispatch for leaving him out of the interview despite where fans demand an apology from the news company. One fan asked, “I just found out what dispatch did. Yeah jongho was injured during day 1 of the la concert but he did participate in most of the concert and in during the talking breaks so like wtf why did y’all cut him out????” Another fan said, “Not 7, not 6, only 8" keep in mind that ATEEZ IS EIGHT.” One more fan said, “Jongho is a part of ateez and he deserves so much better,  ateez is 8, not 7. we always say eight makes one team and it’s for a good reason.”

Another fan pointed, “I wish dispatch to release a statement as to why Jongho wasn’t included in interview, if he was injured and wasn’t comfortable in filming they should say so not release a video without him! Ateez will always be 8! Stop disrespecting the members!” One more fan said, “I'm so tired of people overlooking jongho as a member of ateez. I makes me sad that he doesn't get the same screen times and exposure as the other members :( ATEEZ IS AND WILL FOREVER BE EIGHT!! 8 MAKES 1 TEAM!!”

One fan pleaded, “Please give same treatment to all members. Please, I hope dispatch releases a statement regarding this so that there are no misunderstandings.” Another fan asked, “I just found out jongho wasn’t included in the dispatch video... how many times does Ateez and atiny have to say that Ateez is 8?” One more fan said, “I wish dispatch to release a statement as to why Jongho wasn’t included in interview, if he was injured and wasn’t comfortable in filming they should say so not release a video without him! Ateez will always be 8! Stop disrespecting the members!”

An Atiny said, “Am I upset Jongho wasnt in the Dispatch behind? Yes. But maybe he wasnt feeling well, he was sick/injured days before LA and during so hopefully he was resting during this filming.” Another fan said, “I don't think it's right to film an injured person and its better to just let him rest but dispatch should have given us a heads up because its so disrespectful to fully cut jongho out and not tell us.”
