SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA: Lindy and Miguel were the favorites on 'Married At First Sight', but they've been feuding recently, and Miguel's insecurity is at the root of it. Fans of the Lifetime show criticize Miguel on social media for his lack of empathy and willingness to understand his wife's viewpoints.

Lindy Elloway and Miguel Santiago have struck a snag on the couple's retreat, and how they separately manage their fears appears to be at the root of it. Throughout the couples' weekend, Miguel was quite agitated. He continuously slammed Lindy and chastised her communication style. Lindy and Miguel seemed to have quite different notions of love. Lindy finally snapped and realized she couldn't change every facet of herself to please Miguel.

This week, the couple took some time apart to talk with family and friends about their plans for Decision Day, seeking counsel and words of wisdom before taking the plunge. Lindy talks to her sister about Miguel's misunderstanding, expressing concern that he will let minor setbacks get in the way of their happiness. Lindy's sister says she'll have to find a middle ground and even a balance when Miguel has these times of misunderstanding, and while it's not a complete solution, Lindy seems to find relief in this response.

Miguel makes amends for his and Lindy's failed vineyard date from the retreat by sharing wine and lunch in the picturesque winery location. They both agree that communication is the key to avoiding future confrontations, but he acknowledges that her energy and emotions are too much for him to manage for the rest of their life.

Later, the couples bid their goodbyes until they reunite on the Decision Day sofa in the Wednesday episode. Lindy and Miguel speak things out, figuring out each other's triggers and making mental notes to avoid pulling them.
