'Family Guy' is finally returning for a Season 19 later in September. The show's 18th season finished airing on May 17, 2020, and production of Season 19 had already started before Fox announced its comeback.

The season is returning to the channel on Sundays as part of Fox's Animation Domination programming block, along with 'The Simpsons', 'Bless the Harts', and 'Bob's Burgers'. The upcoming season will contain the series' 350th episode, which will also be the premiere for Season 19. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming season on Fox.

Release date

Season 19 of 'Family Guy' will debut on Fox on September 27, 2020.

Plot

The premise of 'Family Guy' remains the same after so many years since it first aired. The series centers on the Griffins, a family consisting of parents Peter and Lois; their children, Meg, Chris, and Stewie; and their anthropomorphic pet dog, Brian. The show is set in the fictional city of Quahog, Rhode Island.

Cast

Seth MacFarlane voices three of the show's main characters, namely Peter Griffin, Brian Griffin, and Stewie Griffin. Peter's wife Lois is voiced by Alex Borstein, Seth Green voices the character of Chris Griffin and Mila Kunis voices Meg Griffin.

On June 26, 2020, Mike Henry stated that he will no longer voice the African-American character Cleveland Brown. This was after Jenny Slate and Kristen Bell's announcement that they will no longer voice mixed-race characters on 'Big Mouth', and 'Central Park', respectively in the wake of the George Floyd protests.

This season, Kevin Spacey, Kevin Bacon, Clyde Anderson, and Nick Lloyd join the cast as new entries.

Creators

'Family Guy' is created by Seth MacFarlane, who is best known for creating 'The Orville', 'American Dad', and 'The Cleveland Show'. He is internationally best known for writing, directing, and starring in the 'Ted' franchise and 'A Million Ways to Die in the West'.
