‘Ex on the Beach’: Cameron's lies about Ariana and his manipulative ways are revealed and Alexis just can't face this truth
In the previous episode of ‘Ex on the Beach’, we saw Cameron Armstrong’s ex Ariana wash up on the beach with hopes of rekindling their relationship. What she didn’t see coming was Cameron picking his other ex- Alexis over her. When Alexis asked Cameron if he wanted to be with her, he told her yes, right in front of Ariana. But why would Ariana tolerate such disrespect from Cameron, you ask? Well, Ariana according to her she has been with Cameron for 10 years and sees him as her best friend and considers his family as her family. Also, the fact that Cameron promised to marry and have children with her doesn’t really help the poor girl. She also claimed that he was hooking up with her while he was still with Alexis.
The other participants seemed to be on the fence, about whose side to take- Ariana or Alexis’s. They were all very clear about not being on team Cameron, especially the ladies in the house. While a few men in the house wanted to give Cameron the benefit of doubt. In episode 8, which aired on September 5, we finally saw the truth about the messed-up relationship between Ariana, Cameron, and Alexis.

The trio was called into a “court-style” session, with Devin Walker as the judge, and Cameron as the defendant. They brought in Ariana and Cameron’s third roommate Jocelyn as the witness. Jocelyn set the record straight by dropping some bombs that shook Cameron, the other cast members, and the audience, but not Alexis. Jocelyn revealed some dirty little secrets like how Cameron told her that he loved both Ariana and Alexis. He has shared a bed with Ariana, and that they shower together regularly. The icing on the cake was when she admitted that Cameron had told Ariana that he would marry her. When Cameron tried to defend himself, Jocelyn angrily pointed out that Cameron should move in with Alexis so that she can take care of him instead of Ariana. The third roommate dropped another bomb Cameron when she revealed that Ariana even paid his rent!
When Devin asked Alexis if she had any concerns over what was just revealed about Cameron, she says that her only concern was about Cam showering regularly Ariana. She wanted clarification on what 'regularly' meant. Her response to the whole situation was just so frustrating to watch. Her defending Cameron by saying that he was honest to her, despite everything that just went down just made us want to shake her hard and help her see things for what they are instead of what she wishes for.
The other cast members too were mildly annoyed and frustrated with Alexis’s reaction. Kenya Scott, a fellow cast member rightly pointed out that Alexis wasn’t ready for a man, and that she needs to get rid of Cam and work on herself. Judge Devin pronounced Cameron as “guilty of manipulation, lies and obstruction of truth”.
While Cameron’s actions are disgusting, Alexis’s denial is stupid. Fans were very unhappy and felt that Cameron needs to be kicked off the show rather than one of these women. An angry fan wrote, “Cameron needs to go home instead cause he's playing both of you ladies it's time you realize that like come on!! #ExOnTheBeach”. Fans were also confused about what Alexis was up to with her being so supportive of Cameron. A fan tweeted, “Wtf is wrong with Alexis? Like the truth is right in your face #ExOnTheBeach”.
Thankfully, at the end of the episode, during the cut ceremony Alexis got voted out, after all the girls decided that it was in Alexis’s best interest to stay away from Cameron and work on herself. The situation was strangely reminiscent of Shannon-Anthony episode. Shannon, who is currently single and, on the show, seems to be in a much better place without Anthony. We hope that even Alexis gets the much-needed clarity and peace without Cameron and his manipulative behavior around. A hopeful fan tweeted, “Hopefully with Alexis being gone from the house she will realize that she deserves someone who will treat her like the queen she is #exonthebeach”
