'Ex on the Beach’: Cameron proves he's back to his scheming ways as he chooses Alexis during the crush ceremony

The final crush ceremony of MTV's 'Ex on the Beach' season 3 saw Cameron choosing to leave the show with his ex, Alexis, leaving us disappointed.

Cameron Armstrong was undeniably one of the most disliked contestants on season 3 of ‘Ex on the Beach’. This ‘Boy Band’ member managed to earn the infamous title with his constant lying and manipulative behavior. Cameron’s behaviour from the get-go was problematic. As soon as he stepped on the beach, he had his eyes on fellow single Geles. Things heated up between the two before we even had time to learn all the contestants' names.

But things between Geles and him fizzled out when his ex, Alexis washed up on the beach. This was the first time we got a glimpse into Cameron’s lies and manipulative behavior. He tried stringing along Geles while lying to Alexis that he was serious about her. Thankfully, Geles decided to remove herself from this toxic person’s life. We later learn that the reason Alexis and Cameron broke up was due to his closeness to his other ex, Ariana. In case you didn’t already know, Cam stays with his ex to save on rent. When Ariana came on the show, all his lies were out in the open. It was revealed that he was sleeping with Ariana while still in a relationship with Alexis, and that he lied to Ariana about the nature of his and Alexis’ relationship. One would think that Alexis would just get up and walk away from this bare-faced liar, but for some reason beyond us, she chose to stick with him. Fortunately, the other house members could see how unhealthy the situation was and eliminated Alexis for her own good.

Once Alexis was out of the picture, Cam started focusing all his attention on Ariana. Unfortunately for him, she already was getting cozy with fellow cast-member Mechie. This irked Cam so much that he tried manipulating Ariana by making her feel guilty for moving on. Yeah, it wasn’t the finest moment for the reality star, this also led to his fellow cast members- Devin Walker and Mark Jansen stepping in to call out Cameron’s problematic behavior and shield Ariana from getting pulled back into his web of lies and deception. Cameron instantly became a pariah on the show as nobody wanted to have anything to do with him. Cameron slowly started recognizing and learning from his mistakes, and just as we were beginning to think that there might still be some hope for him, he proved us wrong.

During the final crush ceremony, Cameron had to choose between Alexis and Ariana to leave the show with. All of us were hoping that he would make the right decision of not picking any of these women and ruin their lives. He should have left the show by himself and focus on growing up and working on himself before getting into a relationship. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. For this 26-year-old star picked Alexis to leave the show with. This left us all feeling a bit disappointed. We can only hope that he stops spewing his toxicity and continues his journey of becoming a better person.
