Former Florida State star linebacker Dontavious Jackson was allegedly called a 'f***ing (N-word)' during an in-flight altercation on Wednesday, March 17, following which he was almost arrested for the same. Taking it to Twitter, the athlete posted a slew of tweets to share the disturbing incident he encountered while he was on a United Airlines flight.

A 'racist family' began harassing him, but "flight attendants just let it happen!" he says in his tweets. "Unacceptable!!" Jackson wrote.

Shockingly enough, Jackson claims on Twitter that when cops arrived to investigate the altercation in Miami, he was the one who was nearly arrested over the incident. The family "tried to play the victim card, telling the officers I punched/attacked them which was a lie," Jackson writes in the tweets. Witness statements and another passenger's filming video of the incident were the only reasons the officers let him go. "The officer told me if it wasn’t for the witnesses I would’ve been taken to jail," Jackson said. "@united this isn’t right & I’m not staying quiet!" He later added: "Just grateful to still be a free man smdh."

Having played in 43 games for the Seminoles from 2016 through 2019, Jackson's solid four-year strong career had seen his best season in 2018, when he tallied 75 total tackles. Jackson was also one of the best in the class of 2016 high school recruits within the country, which had made way for high hopes about a prolonged career in the NHL. Unfortunately, the player went undrafted and unsigned in 2020. After Jackson tweeted about the incident, other social media users quipped how "Delta would never".

Some were relieved that the athlete was alright and shared "Sorry you experienced this—- so disgusted with what we are seeing these days. Still, I’m grateful you are ok. Stay safe!!!!"

Others were quick to call him out, claiming this wasn't an issue of 'racism'. One user wrote: "dude, hate to burst your rant, but that aint racism. just because bad things will happen to you and your black dont = cause your black. I am WAF and would have been hooked up in similar event, but witness stepped up, cop told me same thing as you, just saying." Another claimed "I’m gonna call BS on this. This stuff don’t happen like this anymore. Show the video.."

News of Jackson's alleged harassment comes just a day after an LAPD retired homicide detective was caught on camera, hurling the exact same abuse at a Black man after their cars had gotten in a minor collision, said cops. As previously reported by MEAWW, the former cop John Motto was seen calling the unnamed Black man a 'f***ing (N-word)' after their cars got into a minor accident.

According to Motto, the other driver used the N-word first, which made him feel it was okay to use it. The video, however, also sees Motto telling the Black man, "Go back into your little cage until the monkey controller gets here." He then used the N-word once again to insult the other man. Following the video of the incident reaching the authorities, the Los Angeles Police Department claims to have launched an internal investigation "to ensure there is no current Department nexus to this incident." It adds, "What is seen in the video is not reflective of the thousands of hard-working and dedicated men and women of the Los Angeles Police Department.
