Who is competing?

A singer, songwriter, actress, and TV presenter, Eve has quickly made a name for herself in the media industry. She began her career in 2001 as a solo artist, with 'Let There Be Eve...'. That eventually topped the Billboard 200 and was followed by other hits like 'Who's That Girl' and 'Let Me Blow Ya Mind' (FaceTime. Gwen Stefani). In 2005, she and Stefani collaborated again for 'Rich Girl'. She then spent the next decade bogged down in label issues, before returning with the 2013 hit album 'Lip Rock'.

The rapper first rose to fame after impressing Dr Dre, and impressing DMX enough to join his Ruff Ryders label. In the 2000s, she also appeared in several films like 'XXX', ' The Woodsman', and ' Whip It'. Following the success of 'Lip Rock', Eve joined Stefani's 'This Is What the Truth Feels Like Tour' in 2016, and released 'Reloaded' in 2019. Of late, she's heavily invested her time in TV shows like 'The Talk', 'Empire', and 'Queens', but still remains a formidable rapper.

No stranger to the music scene, Trina was crowned 'the most consistent female rapper of all time' by XXL Magazine in 2010. In 1998, she caught the attention of  Miami rapper Trick Daddy, leading to a role in his popular 'Nann Nigga'. In 200, she made her solo debut with 'Da Baddest Bitch'  followed by 'Diamond Princess' in 2002. Throughout her long career, Trina has collaborated with noted singers like Ludacris, Lil Wayne, Kelly Rowland, Flo Rida and Rick Ross among others.

With numerous songs frequently topping the rap and hip-hop charts, Trina is clearly a popular musician. She has also appeared in numerous TV shows like 'Love & Hip-Hop', 'The Mo'Nique Show', and 'Hip Hop Squares'.

"I can’t wait for this. Trina is so underrated and I love watching the underdog win every time. y’all did the same thing with Ashanti," one user said.

One user already seemed to have a winner picked out, tweeting, "Trina is going to wash Eve, disrespectfully." Another agreed, saying, "So ready for this EVE VS TRINA...... I am going with Trina on this one...... even tho listen to them both and love both of there music."

There's another unannounced battle scheduled for July 1, according to Verzuz. The company also claimed it is "going international" but did not specify what that meant. But by the sounds of it, Verzuz is here to stay, and might even be roping talent from outside the US to compete.
