Contains spoilers for 'From' Episode 6

As 'From' crosses the halfway mark, it just provides a sneak peek at the answers while also showing some characters in a new light. What if father Khatri was not a priest? What if he was actually someone with a dark past before turning to a more religious character? And before the ones diligently tuning in to watch the episode ask, Sara Myers (Avery Konrad) is alive and is still central to the show's plot. Assuming that 'From' will have at least another season, it's unlikely the entire plot will be revealed in one season, but Episode 6 provides a start.

Boyd (Harold Perrineau) and Kenny (Ricky He) have an understanding of sorts that Kristi rightly brings out like that of a father and son, and calling it right now that the former might be one of the characters to kick the bucket by the end of the season. The Matthews family is neck-deep in figuring out who and what is the reason they're all in the godforsaken town, as does Jade, who is one of the science nerds is on to something with his radio, and with Jim in tow, they're on to something.

'From' Episode 5 Review: Avery Konrad's Sara in focus as chapter attempts to find answers

Father Khatri though is one of the popular players in the episode with a past that's not revealed. It's possible that he may have, as aforementioned, a bad past and one that might have actually been gory enough that explains his scramble after what the voices tell him and Sara. The other possibility is that all of these characters have a past that's sealed them to the town, bringing in the book 74 theory of the Bible into effect. For now, there's only science and the paranormal that seem to offer more answers.

'From' continues to impress and despite the comparisons to 'Lost', the series has done well in fleshing out characters while keeping the focus on horror. Although the element of fear has dipped over the last few episodes, it could probably be saving it for a big drop in the end. Until then, the guessing game and the speculations will continue.

'From' airs Sunday nights at 9 pm on EPIX.
