It's almost Christmas and that means it's time for family! Disney Plus is bringing home a heartwarming and sweet family watch that's quite literally filled with magic. 'Encanto' which was released earlier this year will be coming on the streaming platform soon for everyone to enjoy with their loved ones.
The Disney movie is an animated fantasy-comedy that revolves around a Spanish family that has been blessed with magical powers. But something goes wrong and the family is at risk of losing their powers which forms the crux of the film. 'Encanto' looks to be a fun and colorful watch that even has music by none other than Lin-Manuel Miranda himself! So read on to know more about the magical family madness to come!

What is 'Encanto' about?
From the trailer, we see that a Spanish family has been blessed with magic that comes from their magical house. Each one of the Madrigal family members has special magical powers ranging from strength, talking to animals to doing everything perfectly, and being able to heal wounds with food, all except Mirabel that is. The young woman is the only one without any powers and she wonders why. But things suddenly go wrong as something is off with the magic with each one of them losing their powers. It'll be up to Mirabel to save her family and the magic that they're blessed with.
Who stars in the Disney plus animated comedy?
Stephanie Beatriz as Mirabel Madrigal
Stephanie Beatriz is an American actress and model born to a Colombian father and a Bolivian mother. Speech and debate in high school got her interested in acting which saw her move to New York to pursue her passion. Her works include minor and supporting roles in 'Modern Family', ' Southland', 'Ice Age: Collision Course', 'Jessie', 'Hello Ladies', and more. Her biggest role which he is very well known for is the cop Rosa Diaz in the hit action-comedy series 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine which ran for eight seasons.
Beatriz being the daughter of immigrants supports Immigrant Families Together which helps detained immigrants and their families in the US. She has voiced the protagonist, Mirabel Madrigal, in 'Encanto'.
The rest of the cast includes María Cecilia Botero as Abuela Alma Madrigal, John Leguizamo as Bruno Madrigal, Mauro Castillo as Félix Madrigal, Jessica Darrow as Luisa Madrigal, Angie Cepeda as Julieta Madrigal, Carolina Gaitán as Pepa Madrigal, Diane Guerrero as Isabela Madrigal, Wilmer Valderrama as Agustín Madrigal and more.
