Emmys 2019: People compare Dascha Polanco's dress to 'shrimp cocktails' and 'pool floaties'
Emmys awards are one of the occasions where celebrities are at a fashion war. In a bid to pass the test, celebrities do not mind taking a risk when it comes to fashion. However, it looks like the internet was not too happy about 'Orange is the new black' star Dascha Polanco's dress. The actress was seen wearing a white dress with pink sleeves with a touch of minimalistic accessories. While the actress seemed to love her outfit, people on the internet wanted to call the fashion police to rescue her.
One user noted, "Who did this to Dascha Polanco? The hair, the dress, it's all wrong. And she's so beautiful. #Emmys." Some users thought that the dress did not compliment Polanco and she should have opted for a dress that flattered her. "Dascha Polanco's boobies are being suffocated. That's one dress I don't like. #Emmys" read another comment.
Another user echoed similar thoughts as they noted, "Dascha Polanco would be a show-stopper if the top half of her dress, er, fit." Some even compared her dress to animals like a flamingo, crabs, and others.
"Flamingo...horrible dress!!," wrote one. Another chipped in saying, "Pink crab claws for sleeves. Interesting!". But this wasn't the end of people dragging Polanco for her dress. Some even came up with innovative ways to describe how bad her dress looked on the red carpet.
"There my pool floaties," read one comment as another added, "I'd rather her be naked honestly." For others, her dress reminded them of food as the comment read, "Dascha Polanco...making all the underfed E! correspondents hungry by dressing like a shrimp cocktail." Meanwhile, another added, "Dascha Polanco looks stunning... from the neck up #Emmys2019."
However, there were some who loved the dress on the actress as they noted, "Holy crap, Dascha Polanco looks utterly phenomenal on the carpet! #Emmys2019 #ERedCarpet." While another added, "Dascha Polanco of #OITNB is a stunning blend of cream, pink and bows. She recently finished “In the Heights” and is working on her music and songwriting skills. She was so damn good in #WTSU #Emmys2019."
